Our last visit to the World was about 6 weeks after the attacks in 2001. I was wondering if the American Adventure show has included any references to that sad time in our history?
For a short time a flag from ground zero was on display in the rotunda.
The only reference - is at the end of the show. As Mark Twain and Ben Franklin are standing on the torch of the Statue of Liberty the Twin Towers are shown in the background of the New York City scene.
The attraction hasn't changed, as 1HourAway said. I do think that it's even more poignant now after 9/11. It always made me tear up with pride before, now it gets me even more.
I agree that even without any actual changes to the show it has become more emotionally powerful than ever before. It has always held a sentimental "I love my country" feel, but since 9/11 I feel it even more deeply. Go see it again.
We were there last week- the flag is no longer on display. It was there during our visit in January, but a CM stated that it was to be taken down in February.
