UNFORTUNATELY, I had the same problem recently. I RARELY order from
Amazon, but I was purchasing a GPS golf device for our son for his birthday which was hard to find elsewhere. I literally placed the order on Sat. April 30th at 1:30 in the afternoon, selected regular shipping, device was in stock, not being shown as back ordered or anything and I needed it because we were getting together Sunday, May 8th. Thought no problem to myself. By late Wednesday, I was not notified of a shipping link, so very early Thursday morning I called Amazon only to be told that it would be "shipping soon". I went CRAZY, CRAZY!

Long story short communicated to CS manager that the shipping timeframe was HERENDOUS that if there was a problem I should have been made aware of it on Sat.April 30th before finally placing the order. I demanded that because of this "hiccup" that the item be overnighted at their cost. They explained that they would have to charge my credit card for the cost of expedited shipping and then credit my credit card for the shipping. They PROMISED to email me personally the details of our conversation and NEVER DID! After waiting an hour for the e mail, I spent another 45 minutes on the phone explaining the circumstance to yet another CS manager. I did receive the item on Friday, thankfully, and I followed up with my cc company and the shipping was credited. POOR OVERALL SERVICE

and even though it was rectified, I will avoid regretfully doing business with Amazon.

Push the CS manager to provide you with FREE expedited shipping! Good luck!
