I'm starting to like the Paolos more now too. How funny is that. :rotfl: They are definitely getting better. The Weavers are getting worse. Maybe they were yeilded because God was too tired of all they're prayers. :rotfl2: So sorry to see the Gahgans go. I hate detours that have some completely mundane task that only involves luck.

I'm the opposite about such detours - it's a great way to mix things up because everyone has an equal opportunity.

And I can't believe, but I too actually sort of kind of liked the Paolos tonight. Maybe this is a growing experience for them all. The kids may actually respect their parents at the end of this.

I am sooooo tired of the Weavers. I believe in asking God for help every now and then but it's getting old.

Bummed the Gaghans were eliminated, they were the house favorite here, I'll miss them.

Add me to the list of people now liking the New Yorkers! :rotfl:

Ugh The Weavers have got to go, what a bunch of hypocrites, funny they were all mad at the NY team when almost every other team said they were going to yield them too! :rotfl:

I like the brothers/sister team too, well heck I like everyone except the Weavers!

I'm gonna miss the Gaghans! What a wonderful family they all worked as a team together helping each other through everything. The Palo family did impress me some tonight too. I hope the Weaver's are gone next week I can't take much more of them. At this point I'm rooting for anyone, but the Weaver's!!!

I'm also sad the Gagnans lost. I had tears in my eyes looking at that little girl.
UGH those Weavers. I used to like them but they are so hypocritical! They preach about God & how they are Christian but yet they are making fun of everyone. The girl even punched the picture of the Paolos.

I'm so impressed with the Gaughan parents, in particular the father. It was nice to see someone not yell and scream at their family members and also treat them with such respect. I noticed several times how he would praise the kids for their efforts. Nice change from some of the other families. I'm sorry to see them go.

Yes, it was refreshing to see respect!

I felt so bad for the little one.....she was doing a good job of holding back the tears. :guilty:

You know, as I was watching last night, I was thinking of some of the discussion here on how a team or 2 are so mean to the Weaver's. Well, after last night, I have decided, that there as got to be SO MUCH we are not seeing about the Weaver's. How can it be that every other team despises them? All the teams seem to have a great relationship among each other. Yes, it seemed the Shroeder's were agianst them, and it made them look like the bad guys, how can you hate a family who just lost their dad? Then the Paolo's...but they are jerk's anyway, right? But every team in that bus terminal WANTED the Weaver's on that last bus.

Then, at the yield, we saw what they must really be like. One of the girls said the kid looked like a retard??? What mother ALLOWS her kid to talk like that???? My sympathies for the Weaver's flew out the window last night. They can pray all they want, they are NOT Christians.

Poor little Carissa...I could just feel the lump in her throat. What a trooper though, for trying to hold it back. It was great to see a family have such respect for each other. Every time they had to hustle, the dad made sure he thanked the kids for their effort.

What 2 teams do you like to see interact with each other? I just LOVE the Linz boys with the Bransen girls. They are really having a good time with each other....I could hang out with those Linz boys...I would be laughing the whole time. They seem like great guys.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Paolo's are growing on me. The father cracks me up.

I could have written this entire post! So yeah, what she said :flower:

I guess everyone has their own relationship with God but personally I save my prayers for what is important in life. I just can't get over how the Weavers keep praying for themselves to win a race. At one point I thought I heard one of the daughters say "We are Chrisians we deserve to win this" or something to that affect. Then they turn around and say something mean- what kind of Christian is that?

I felt bad for the team that lost- esp the little girl. I really like the Linz team - seem very fun. The NY team is even growing on me. Couldn't stand them in the beginning. That mom is going to need a vacation after this race! She's doing pretty good. I hope her son treats her better after this.

It was a decent leg last night and I feel so bad for the little kids they did one heck of a great job. To bad the mother didn't get down onteh ground sooner to look for the red bean it may have made the difference last night. The poor little girl trying not to cry on TV she did a great job so did her entire family it was sad to see them go last night. Now if they can just knock off the Weavers it will make up for the Gahgan family being gone well not quite but almost.

I want a Segway :moped:

Wally (Dad Bransen) doesn't look like he is holding up too well. And the Desperate Housewives are getting very catty from the stress.

Poor Carissa. She was trying so hard not to cry. I will miss her comments. I thought her and the brother were funny in that "kid" way.

I would LOVE to know what the Weavers did to make the other teams hate them so much. Most of the stuff we see is when they are alone and not with the other teams. Yes they are annoying and say some questionable stuff (not to mention the praying) but the other teams aren't seeing that. So something must have happened or is happening at the pit stops. Would love to know what it is!

I, too, was sad to see the Gaughans go although they handled it well. Even Carissa with her tears.

The Weavers seem so unchristian with all of their negative comments. I get so tired of them asking God to help them with every little aspect of the race.

I'm not sure who my favorite team is now but I do like the show more than I did at first.

Best line of last night's show: I'm coming! - Yeah, so's Christmas....

I was sad to see the Gaghan's go home. THe Paolo's are growing on me.

I really, really dislike the Weavers and I hope they go home next week. I just think the other team's have seen what we have seen, that family was never likeable to me.

They are very holier-than-thou and I'm sure that comes out whenever they talk with the other teams. Earlier in the race (I believe it was the first time at an airport) they really set themselves apart from the other teams. They weren't talking to them at all. They were asking questions about the airport and they were acting all secretive and such. I just think they aren't very friendly.

One comment I heard one of the daughters make really stuck me as very odd. She said that they had been raised to not trust any one but their own family. I know several christians and if anything they seem a little to trusting of people. I think there is something not right about them. I really think there must be a LOT going on behind the scenes.

Yes, I noticed that too. I thought that was very strange. I wonder if that was the same girl who made the "retard" comment.

I have managed to refrain from posting about this but I'm really curious.

Why is it so offensive that the Weaver family prays? I pray all the time too. The Bible tells us we are to pray without ceasing. And since my God is big enough to handle even little things like missing sunglasses or doing well in a race, why should you all care? The show has chosen to edit it this way. The Weaver family isn't trying to shove their religion down anyone's throat.

As for not speaking to anyone we don't know that they don't. And at this point I wouldn't be looking to get all friendly with the other teams when they have shown their dislike of me so plainly. They gave $ to the sisters who started without. Did anyone else?

I can't help but feel if this was a Muslim family you would all be showing so much more tolerance. This is one time I'm happy to be in the minority.

Oh my goodness...I didn't know this thread existed!! I am SOOO happy!

ME TOO! I guess I am in the minority here. I am sorry, maybe I missed something :confused3 , but I just don't remember anything so horrible that they did. Ya, they are a little wierd and immature, and they are not my favorite team (the Aiello's---already eliminated :guilty: ) but when did praying for favor from God ever cause so much disgust in people? For other teams to call them and, I quote "evil" (a few episodes back), is little overboard. I probably missed an episode somewhere, because I just don't remember them doing anything vindictive or coniving toward anyone else. Can someone refresh my memory and tell me something specific they did?

Yep. Did you see how the mom acted when she wanted help when the van was stuck? Instead of getting out and asking the man watching in the distance for help, she just started beeping the horn at him! Like he was supposed to come running over at her command, very rude.

Them praying isn't what's offensive. It's offensive that they pray and then turn around the next moment and make fun of the other teams. Last night one Weaver child even said one of the other teams sons looked "retarded". They made fun of his job as a garbage man and then went on to make fun of the sisters physical appearance as well while flipping through the pictures pointing out everyones flaws. Sure they gave the sisters money but then they turned around and made fun of them! They're hypocrites because the last time I checked behavior like that was FAR from Christian like.
