You have a PM.

his teammate had the knee that swelled up like a watermelon at the pyramids and they couldn't even finish (first team in history to "quit", I believe). I wonder if something similar will happen this season or if his knee will hold up to avoid last place.
I totally agree with you

I agree with you completly. I even commented to my husband how great it would be not to mess with the TIVO this year (we tape too many shows on a Sunday night that it is a pain to have it set up to tape 30 minutes longer) and then we got hosed last night because of basketball. Lesson learned. I HATE basketball even more now too.
I still love basketball....I knew it was happening so it was not a big deal...I was actually watching the game in my area that made it run late....
I fully suspect that the coalminer couple or Drew and what's his name woudl have been at the end...so surprised to see a team that seemed healthy and fit and not so aloof to be stuck at the end. Also Drew and his teammate aren't all that fit--his teammate had the knee that swelled up like a watermelon at the pyramids and they couldn't even finish (first team in history to "quit", I believe). Walter C said:First and only team to quit, in season 5. I thought it was great how the other brother handled the whole situation, by not losing his cool at all the whole time.

There's something wrong with the quote feature. I noticed it on this thread last night.
You're thinking of another team, the brothers from Dallas that owned a pizza parlor. I think they were on in season 5. They were no All-Stars, that's for sure.I fully suspect that the coalminer couple or Drew and what's his name woudl have been at the end...so surprised to see a team that seemed healthy and fit and not so aloof to be stuck at the end. Kevin and Drew competed on season 1, and they finished fourth. They lost to the Guidos in a photo finish at the Forbidden City in Beijing. They were a great team, and really competed hard. But like somebody said upthread, they acted like they didn't really want to be there last night. I hope they get it together because they were really entertaining in season 1.
And I just remembered one more thing about the pizza brothers... They were the team that coined the "Mirna and Schmirna" nickname. So besides being quitters, they go down in AR history for that.DOH--you are correct! I do recall Kevin and Drew...I guess Kevin looks a lot like Pizza Parlor guy.
I missed the second half--their start did seem slow.

Well, I'm reluctant to come to that kind of conclusion after 1 episode. They were at the back of the pack in the first episode last time, too, and then were at or near the lead for the entire show. We'll see. It'll be a much better show if they stick around, that's for sure.I suspect the All Star teams all got money up front and that Keven and Drew might be only doing it for the money and exposure. They may realize they have no chance in winning.

Yeah Rob and Amber, they are my all time favorite team. They are great players and treat each other great. I hope they go all the way.
I hope Uchenna and Joyce don't last long. They've bugged me since they won their season saying "good people deserve to win". Umm, who says your good people and Rob and Amber aren't? And what does being a 'good' person have to do with winning a race? Also they are still having marital problems?
As staged as it was...I know Romber got a call from their agent asking if they were interested only 2 weeks before they were going to do it.
U and J are awesome people. I am glad they are back in it. I am looking forward to seeing them race. However, I dont think they should win. I dont even thing Romber diserve to win. Together they all have enough money...
