Amazing Adventures of the 2013 Disney Moms Panel Search

See, all those drop downs make me nervous. I'm afraid something got changed. The cursor makes things move around and make me ask, "What just happened?" Then when I want to do that, I can't replicate it.

I just looked through my e-mail and I have the " we have received your application e-mail from the first ever it started. I guess I don't like to get rid of things.

was there only 1, 100 word question last year for WDW? I feel like there was more, but I might be thinking about round 2, which had 3 I think.

anyone else a second guesser? I'm worried I skipped a question and missed something! even with checking it a million times over lol!

There were definitely at least 3 essay questions last year. They must have decided they didn't want to read so many answers this year.

Yes I've submitted it, and even though I was positive on all my answers, there is still a part of me that says "you clicked again, you moved your space in the list". Seems to me if you get one of those wrong you'll be automatically kicked out...

Here's hoping for good news in November! pixiedust:

I took forever on that as well... Ended up deciding to read it as when did I PERSONALLY hear about it. Because at the end of the day I'm nothing if not truthful :)

Ditto - I did the same thing. And I'm now stressing that I'll be disqualified!! Fingers crossed that's how they meant it!

Good luck to everyone. I applied for DCL. Probably did not give the most magical answer. I was racing to get finished to not be shut out. At least thanks to everyone here I knew today was the day.

I hit back on my computer because my essay had 12 words left and i counted 99 words. I lost the last page but I could not go back to see if there was anything left undone. the stress! but pixie dust to everyone

Ok...I hit the submit button. I actually found the "when did you first hear about the panel" question the hardest!

Anne

I hadn't given that question a second thought until I read your post! My answer was based on when I first heard about the panel, not when it started. :confused3

My struggle was that I "heard"about it in 2007 when the first application was announced, but it wasn't officially started until 2008, but I was afraid that 2007 was get me rejected. obsessive = me!

After some of this :surfweb:

...and a couple seconds of :confused3:crazy2::scratchin as I tried to fit everything I wanted to say into 100 words....

I have the confirmation email.

Wishing everyone a megaton of pixiedust:

Let the :hourglass begin .... it's all in the Mouse's hands now :)

Anne

I didn't first hear about it until 2009, so that was my answer. Obviousely, I know now that it started in 2008, but I was being honest about when I first heard about it. I think they were looking for us to respond with when we, personally, first heard about it and not when it started.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I believe the first application process was in the fall of 2007 - for the 2008 panel. [I say that because I'm about 99.999% sure that's the first time I applied]. So I think (hope) 2007 is an OK answer. :goodvibes

Plus, I think they're probably more interested in our knowledge of the Disney parks, cruise line, DVC, etc. :confused3

LOL... did it really say Nov 12? I think last year they knew if they made it on the panel by Nov 12. That's not the deadline for knowing if we got past round 1, is it?

Last year I found out about round 2 around Oct 8. I'd have to check my emails when I got the email saying that I wasn't making it to round 3. It was later than it was supposed to be, I remember that.

Two years ago, the application period began Monday, September 13th and Round 2 notifications were sent out October 12th.

Last year, the application period began Monday, September 12th and we got Round 2 notifications on October 8th.

I thought the same thing!!!!

:wave2: again... back for another try!! Just submitted... boy, is it hard for a "wordy" person to say it all in 100 words!! Yikes!

That was my answer, too... that was when I first heard about it, during the first application process. Hoping that's the right answer, or at least ONE of the right answers, seeing as for many it was probably years later. :scratchin

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: to all of us... and to all the current Mom's Panel moms who are cheering us on -- THANK YOU!! :cool1:

Application is submitted. Now for the nervous anticipation!!

BTW - I also went with when did I personally hear about the panel for my answer. I did not know about it the first year,

:tink: Pixie dust to all! :tink:

Oh I am working on my application now that the kiddos are all at school. Trying to distract my 1 year old and trying not to be too distracted. :rotfl2:

I think I should have gone to Starbucks on my way home from school drop off. :coffee:

Now to decide if I should apply to WDW or DLR? :confused3

Need to get this done so I can relax. pixiedust:

Me too. And like all of you, I'm obsessing over every answer now! Will try and not think about it until November (yikes!).

Wishing everyone lots & lots of pixie dust!!! :tink:
