Amazing Adventures of the 2013 Disney Moms Panel Search

Looking back, I don't think my answer this year was a full as my answer last year.:worried:

Here is the information. It was on the first page, about the program.
•Be 18 years of age or older.
•Have access to a computer and an Internet connection.
•Be familiar with Walt Disney World® or Disneyland Resort and visited either park at least once in the last 12 months. If applying to be a specialty panelist, you must have experienced that vacation within the last 24 months.*

I clicked on this first. Why, I don't know? I'm doing to the TOT10Miler at the end of the month. My DH and I thought best not to get cut by a technicality. We will see what happens, but if needed, my plan will be to reapply next year for runDisney.

<very unDisneylike language>

I did not even look for anything like an extra time requirement on the specialty ones. I should have just gone with the generic anyway - I'm going to go out on a limb, but the runDisney is almost always going to be a woman anyway - a combinartion of the "Moms Panel" and the fact that runDisney has been really emphasizing female runners.

Hey All!!

It's that time of year again!!! I'm so excited to be rooting for all of you this year!!

Being selected to the Moms Panel has been an amazing journey, one which I treasure every single day. Having been on this journey three times before the magic call, I'm here to say RELAX, and let your Disney passion shine through!!! That's what truly makes a great Moms panelist.

We are here to support you during this awesome experience!!!!

Sending much love and Pixie dust to all of you!!!!!

Thanks! This is the attitude that I'm going in with this year. I'm just going to relax and hope that I make it through so I can share my love for Disney with others.

I got to the second page and there was a multiple choice question I cant answer...I might as well give up now...

Out of the list below, which attraction is found at Walt Disney World Resort?
Big Thunder Rail Road
Space Mountain
Mickey's Philarmagic
Main Street Electrical Neon Parade

I think I should give up...now...

I applied again too. I was going to go for DVC but chose WDW instead. 2 of my last 3 vacations were for Disneyland and even though I used my DVC points for all 3, I didn't stay in a DVC room for any of them. But I have taken over 17 vacations in the last 6 years most all using DVC points. Is till chose WDW.

The only thing that has me nervous now is that when I had DVC marked I had this question

"• In 100 words or less, tell us about your own Disney Park planning experience and how you help others plan"

Was that a DVC questions or a general WDW question ? Was the specialized question on the 2nd page ?

I also have to say that I LOVED the Dole Whip question.

Read them carefully. ;)

The third option was Mickey's Philharmonic.

It said Mickey's Philharmonic not Philharmagic.

I had to read everything close but I'm positive I got it.

Hi everybody!! It's that time again! I just submitted my application and am going to try my best to go about daily life without driving myself crazy this year! As it said on the first page of the application that we wouldn't hear until November 12th I think we all have a long time to sit and think about what we submitted! LOL

Just submitted my application. I've yet to get past round 1, but I'm always hopeful.

I'm always so nervous after hitting that submit button! Man it's hard to get across your love of Disney in just 100 words!!!

Ok...I hit the submit button. I actually found the "when did you first hear about the panel" question the hardest!

I had originally thought that I would review the questions, take a couple days to think about it and then apply (yeah, right!) But the shorter time frame and fewer total applicants received through me off a bit.

Now, for a question....I chose the WDW option, but I also could have done the cruise option....can a person enter twice? I looked for official rules on this but couldn't find any.

Anne

was there only 1, 100 word question last year for WDW? I feel like there was more, but I might be thinking about round 2, which had 3 I think.

anyone else a second guesser? I'm worried I skipped a question and missed something! even with checking it a million times over lol!

That was the hardest for me too actually. I couldn't decide whether they wanted to know when I actually learned about it ... or when it started.

LOL... did it really say Nov 12? I think last year they knew if they made it on the panel by Nov 12. That's not the deadline for knowing if we got past round 1, is it?

Yep. It's MP application time again. Which of course means I have bronchitis. Again.

I kid you not...every single year for the last 3 years I have been sick with bronchitis when I've applied for Moms Panel. :crazy2:

It's just crazy.

OK. With that...I'm going in. Application-fill-out-time starts now! :hourglass

Me...I had 1 100 word and 5 multiple choice.... Felt weird.

I am struggling with that question as well. Glad to hear I'm not the only one!
