Amazing Adventures of the 2013 Disney Moms Panel Search

Oh...Hello everyone! Welcome back to another autumn! It's hard to believe September is here and the MP application season is upon us! Pixie dust to all! pixiedust:

The application was fresh and interesting! I enjoyed it and I'm excited to hear about the next step!

Hey all! I've been a little absent these past couple weeks, but am back to join the waiting room with you all! I submitted my application for the Disneyland panelist and feel pretty good about my answers. At least, I didn't stress about them nearly as much as I have in past years! :thumbsup2

I saw someone asked us to post the specialty questions from page 2 and since I haven't seen any other Disneylanders, here they are:

1. What are the five newest attractions at Disney California Adventure Park? (Options were Radiator Springs Racers, World of Color, Finding Nemo Submarines, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Little Mermaid, Luigi's Flying Tires, California Screamin', Red Car Trolley and Toy Story Mania)

2. My favorite hotel at the Disneyland Resort has a special feature. Select the feature below with the correct hotel where it's located. (This one had about 8 options with different hotel and things like restaurant names - so like "Napa Rose - Grand Californian". Some options were the correct pairing, some were not)

3. What is the name of the man who has made Carnation Cafe so special for decades? Hint: he has a dish on the menu named after him. (multiple choice)

4. Who helped open Disneyland Resort to the public as one of the official hosts? (Multiple choice)

5. What county does Disneyland Resort call home? (multiple choice)

6. In 100 words or less, describe the best multi-day vacation you've taken at the Disneyland Resort, including where you stayed overnight. If you haven't had a multi-day vacation to Disneyland Resort tell us what you would do if you were to plan one.

Wishing everyone good luck and pixie dust as we wait for this year's good news! pixiedust:

At work, figured I would submit at naptime and of course the WiFi passcode they gave me isn't working! Guess I'll have to wait until tonight and hope the 14k isn't reached by then.

Has it ever closed early due to reaching the cap?

Yes, I think it was 20k before. There's no way of knowing how front-loaded the applications are, so if it fills before tonight, then clearly it wasn't meant to be! I'm not expecting that it will, though.

When you submitted your application, does anyone else remember reading those who make the panel will hear by or around November 12th or was I dreaming?

If that is the case, it will be interesting to see if my baby will come before or after that date. I am due November 10th. I figured I would just apply knowing the odds are against me for getting on the moms panel, but if it happens I will be doubly blessed.

Angie

Anybody else get two confirmation emails? I got one about five minutes after I submitted, then I got another one about fives minutes after that...

I only got one, but the email said :
We have received your application to apply to become a member of the Walt Disney World® Moms Panel. You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your application shortly.

I never got a second one, so I was kind of confused about that!

I'm curious to know if they both said the same thing.. I do know if I go back to the page I get this message "Our records indicate that you have already submitted an application to be a part of our panel." So I think we are good...

It does not say what the training dates are in December 2012. Does anyone know the dates? I am going on The Dis Cruise in December and if the Moms Panel training is the same time, then I can't apply.

From the "learn more" page, under requirements: Be available to travel to Walt Disney World® Resort from December 7-11, 2012. That has me really hoping I make it because it looks like my Dec trip is going to be postponed a year!

I got that too, but no second e-mail yet. If I go to the site it shows I've already submitted an application, though, so I'm not too worried about it.
