*Amanda & Milton's June 18 2012 Wishes Wedding TR Started Update 8/10

I just wanted to say that you have been an inspiration for me! I actually read your first PJ (before it went MIA) and fell in love with your ideas. I have to admit I borrowed some and tweaked others. But thank you for posting what you do.:thumbsup2 I'm sure your wedding is going to be beautiful. Your wedding is exactly one week after mine.

I hope you have a magical wedding:goodvibes

6 months and a few days to go... WOW crazy how time is just flying by. Sorry I've REALLY been slacking on update, only because I haven't really done too much wedding stuff lately. WIth moving in the next 3 weeks and finals at school, wedding projects have been put on hold. But I can't wait to get in our new house and be able to have my entire scrapbook/craft room back up and running. I will then be able to get projects done and completed pretty quickly.

Hope everyone is getting ready for the Holidays and the new year so that we can FINALLY say we are getting married THIS year!!! How exciting for everyone!!:goodvibes

Time is flying :woohoo: ... we better get on the ball with our projects b4 our day comes, it will b here b4 we know it! :goodvibes

Hey girl! I messaged on on FB about seeing if you could make a certain jacket for me!

We are scheduled to close on our house Tomorrow :banana::banana:

So I will be getting back into the wedding project grind within the next month. Our Planning session is scheduled for Jan 13th, so that's coming up!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday, and a Happy new year. We will finally be able to say it's OUR wedding year!!! Yay for 2012.:cool1:

SO, so so excited for you! Best of luck!

Can't wait until you're back in full force on the boards! <3

Thanks everyone! We are settling into our house great, it's taking a lot of our time to paint, unpack and organize. So I will finally be starting back on wedding projects this weekend and get back into updating regularly again!!

We have our planning session with Michelle this friday and I'm soooo excited!!!

In bridesmaid news: My youngest cousin is dropping out of being a bridesmaid:confused3, she is 8 weeks pregnant and doesn't want to travel at 7 months pregnant. I'm kinda bummed because she knew when my wedding was, but she also informed me early in 2011 they were going to start trying, so that's the way it goes I guess. Not sure if I will replace her or not.:confused3

I will have TONS to update after our planning session I've got a few more things bought and will post very very soon!!

Coming up: Bridal Shower Location, Wedding goodies and Planning session recap!! :)

Yay Amanda! Can't wait to have you back in action!

Sorry to hear about the bridesmaid. =[ I'd happily step in! ;D It happens though. Still stinky.

Here is the Meaning of each just in case anyone is interested

LASSO (LAZO CORD)
The Lasso is associated with a wedding prayer during the ceremony. As part of the ceremony to symbolize unity, a large loop of rosary beads is placed in a figure eight shape around the necks of the couple after they have exchanged their vows. The symbolism of the lasso is to show the union and protection of marriage. Special members of the wedding party may be in charge of lassoing the Bride and Groom together after they kneel for the wedding prayer. They drape what is usually a white satin circle of cord around the shoulders of the kneeling Bride and Groom, groom's shoulder's first. The lasso may also be tied around their wrists.
The couple wears the lasso throughout the remainder of the service. The loop is symbolic of their love, which should bind the couple together everyday as they equally share the responsibility of marriage for the rest of their lives. A double rosary lasso may also be given by one set of the parents and may be blessed with holy water three times in honor of the trinity.
At the end of the ceremony, the lasso is removed by the couple who placed the lasso on the couple, or the priest. The lasso is given to the Bride as a memento of her becoming the lady of the grooms heart and home and shows their promise to always be together side-by-side.

COINS

The number 13 represents Christ and his 12 apostles.

The coins are presented to the priest by a friend or relative (usually the purchaser). The priest then blesses the coins and hands them to the bride who places them in the grooms cupped hands at the beginning of the ceremony. The coins are then placed on a tray and handed to an assistant to be held until later in the ceremony. Near the end of the ceremony the box and coins are given to the priest who places the coins in the box and hands them to the groom.
The groom will then pour the coins into the brides cupped hands and places the box on top. This represent his giving her control as his mistress of all his worldly goods.
