uhmm Hoodie, that's why it's called the "news". The new stuff pushes out the old stuff. Whens the last time we've heard for the Tea party? doesn't mean they've died out, it just means there not in the "news" anymore.
Right now everyones trying to figure out if Cain did nor did not harrass some women, when we get bored with that story we'll move onto some thing else.
You're totally correct though at some point they will have to get their collective acts together and decide how and if they can effectively participate.
But remember just a few weeks ago people were predicting that they would never make it through the first cold snap and yet they have.
Occupy Philly is working with the city (philly is one of the few that recognizes its right to protes) to come up with a viable solution for them through the winter. The friends have offered up their worship centers for them to use as a rallying point and to come in and take showers.
They had a march last night to the headquarters of Comcast Cable and there were 5 peaceable arrest. Even the police commissioner commented on how great it would be if all his days went like the ones dealing with the protestors.
Maybe they don't have to hang on forever just until elections next year. Here in Philly evey march has a voter registration along with it so maybe they are recognizing the political side of it. Who knows maybe the flyers will win the stanley cup. No one knows.
All we can do is wait and see.
Im not on board with ows or the tea party but I do like to see citizens protest (its in the blood. LOL) but I am absolutely fascinated by how this so much mirrors the civil rights movement, almost word for word.
I can remember so many people telling my mother that "negroes" just did not have the ability to "stick" together and that it would all blow over when the 'agitators" left town. So much for that prediction.
As I've said before, I'm not predicting any thing. My crystal ball is as fuzzy as the next guys.
