Am I the only one aggravated by the interactive queue's?

The only one I do not like is for Soarin, where we almost always get hit int he face by people not paying attention to anything other than the game.

The only thing I don't like about the interactive queues is I don't have enough time to play them!

a guest playing for 45 seconds on a game will not make the line itself longer. Now if the game was 20 feet before the loading area, obviously that would be annoying. But a slightly larger gap in the part of the line that affects nothing in the long run? Whatever. It won't kill anyone. Plus won't you feel like you moved more once the person looks up and fills the gap?

I didn't love the interactive parts in line as it was difficult to get my 3 year old to leave them! It was just too annoying to deal with kids playing and figuring out where you were in line. . . in general though I felt like people were too annoyed about moving up in line when their was a tiny gap because my 3 year old was playing on the fence or something. . seriously you aren't losing any time, you just move up faster to fill the gap when we move! I think having stuff to look at is a good idea but actual games is a really bad idea as it does create chaos.

Space Mountain seems to have the best interactive queue. The games are timed, and they let just enough people into the final queue area so that you move up to the next gaming station between games. I'm not sure what is so hard about that, and why they don't implement something similar at other rides.

IMO creating interactive games for the queues was a stupid idea, because it entertains only a handful at any given time. I don't find watching other people play video-type games particularly entertaining. I love well themed queue that everyone can enjoy.

The next step in interactivity is yto do the same for rides. Originally there was a plan for the hitchhiking ghosts to say something personal to different guests. In IASW, one of the dolls would say hello to a passenger in a boat. But here's the thing, what if you are in that boat but the person being singled out is a stranger? Some people might feel slighted. Not exactly a great idea.

The interactive queues and attractions may have been a great idea, if there were fewer people in line and everyone had a chance to play, But if that was the scenario, they wouldn't need the interactive queues. I just feel that whoever came up with these ideas, had never visited a theme park. This looked good on paper, but IMO it's a failure.

I think they are okay when it's busy and you are stopped in the same place for a long time. But when things are slow and people stop the line so that they can play a game yes it is a bit of a pain.

This happened to me on Pooh. Luckily the father of the family quickly noticed and allowed us ahead of him. Not everyone does this. Time the games and move the line on

I would politely ask if they mind if I went around them. But even if they had an issue with me joining the rest of the line, I would politely keep it moving and tell them to enjoy your game while I catch up to the rest of the line. It's your prerogative for you to play the game and I will not take away your enjoyment of that. I do not consider that line jumping.

You may not (and I don't, either) but the people holding everyone up typically do.

Last time we were there, we tried going around a family that was playing an interactive game and they were upset, until the CM stepped in and told the family they could stay and play, but please allow other guests to move forward. I believe there was a big enough gap in the SB line that the ride was not being filled. This was Pooh.

As long as they don't sit there long enough that the line after them has completely loaded on the ride, then it doesn't change your wait time. Now, if they made a gap so big that the ride didn't have anyone to load, then that would be a big problem. Anyone see that happen?

I'm fairly certain that Disney tested all this to make sure interactive features are far enough back in the queue to minimize impact on the loading area. Also, interactive items are designed to be "quickies". Have fun then keep moving forward. Literally. Oh and love your line neighbor or whatever gets you through and keeps you smiling!
