Am I just a lush or are Disney's drinks weak :/

My go to vacation cocktail is generally a Long Island Iced Tea, its like 90% booze and I love them dearly. And I am a vacation lush as well, that made me laugh to read lol

I think Disney drinks tend to be weak for sure, even Lapu Lapus and Long Islands. It does depend on the bartender, though. Last time I was at the pool bar at AOA, I ordered two long islands (not both for me!) and when the bartender handed them to me, he pointed to one and said "This one's definitely stronger-- keep it for yourself." Lol

I have no problem with the drinks being watered down, but man the prices they charge for drinks and they do nothing for you.... That's what I mind.

I think it depends on where and what you drink. I have found the La Cava margaritas to be perfect, but the ones from the stand and dockside were weak. Now Lapu Lapu's at the Polynesian can never be called weak.

I :lovestruc my Cava margarita and cannot wait to have another.

Now that summer is almost "unofficially" here, I've been leaning towards an El Gringo -I use two types of tequila, fresh lime juice, and habanero simple syrup ...oh yeah!
Oh that sounds delicious!

I agree with a previous poster who said they make strong drinks in China - love the Tipsy Ducks in Love.

I think I got more of a sugar rush with my two Lapu Lapus than a buzz.

Great cocktail. Now that summer is almost "unofficially" here, I've been leaning towards an El Gringo -I use two types of tequila, fresh lime juice, and habanero simple syrup ...oh yeah!

That made my mouth water.

I got the basic recipe from a local restaurant/bar. Basically 2-parts Tequila, 2-parts lime juice, 1-part habanero simple syrup, splash of passion fruit liqueur, topped with a splash of mezcal, on the rocks. You can find a recipe for the simple syrup on the Internet. You can play with it to taste, my wife likes it with a little less lime, etc.

My drinks at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and the Top of the World Lounge were both VERY strong. I had a hard time finishing my drink at TOTW because it was tough to get down without wincing every time. At the restaurants I usually stuck with beer or wine which as a previous poster mentioned is always consistent.
