Am I crazy.....4 moves in 12 days.

We're doing our first split stay this December. I wanted to try BLT, but could only get our first night there. So, we have one night at BLT and the rest at AKV-Kidani. I know it's not much for BLT, but we'll be at the resort late-morning and don't plan to do much that day other than enjoy the resort. We may walk over to MK to activate our APs and walk around a bit, but I really want to see the fireworks from the TOTWL. I have waitlisted a few more nights at BLT, if they don't come through, no biggie -- we'll schedule a few more days at BLT next year.

Good luck with all of your moves! How are you getting back and forth to the cruise? We're doing a Disney cruise next year after 5 days at WDW, so I'm considering our travel options for getting back and forth to the ship.

Thanks....I plan on just utilizing the resort for that 1 day as well:goodvibes:goodvibes
We did DCL last year and used DCL transportation.....I think about 70pp R/T.

Since we are doing carnival this year....I will book a towncar....looked at FL tours pricing....a sponsor here...
Pricing for a town car....i believe 1-4 people.....we are 3.
$250 to go from WDW...Port Canaveral....WDW. Includes a stop if needed.
The 4 night 4/17 sailing on the Sensation only cost us 1800 with tips and a balcony room. Just couldn't swing the DCL Dream....one day:goodvibes

While I'll admit I've moved around as many as 5 times during a 15 night stay, it is a total pain the butt. I also hate being homeless and living out of my daybag at the pool between resort room availability. I do this as little as possible now, but will occasionally switch resorts mid way (especially since the point shifting occured).
Good luck and have fun!

We did four moves last December and we decided that we won't do it again.

If rooms were ready early and/or on time and if we didn't have some issues, then it wouldn't be so bad. We were exhausted after each move.

:earsboy: Bill

We once did 1 night WL, 8 nights BCV, 1 night BC, 2 nights BCV. I really wouldn't do it again -- way too much packing & unpacking. Plus we have our Owner's Locker which had to be packed and unpacked, to some extent, even on the 1 night stay.

Yeah good luck with that..

If it were me personally I wouldn't do it. I'd like to stay in one spot and enjoy one resort. The most I'd ever do a change is a jump from one resort to another but never 3 or 4 in one trip. It would wear me out and it wouldn't be as enjoyable. I like to be able to unpack and put things away. I don't like living out of a suitcase at Disney World :lmao:

Hi,

As much as I am psyched about trying AKV....i think I will put myself on waitlist for BLT the 1st night.

and.....It will be what it will be.....I'll be in WDW:banana:

I personally love split stays!

Gives you the chance to experience 2 different resorts!

2 would be my max! Enjoy!:goodvibes

No, I don't think you are crazy. Everyone handles/adapts to things differently. I personally wouldn't mind doing it, we are constantly running around, doing things, whether it is enjoying, or moving doesn't make any difference to me. I just LOVE being in WDW, doesn't matter what I am doing. It is actually the only time I feel relaxed, yet I find myself doing more. The days of moving, I would drop my luggage off, and plan a day at the park, shop at DTD, and go back to the resort around 4ish. If I am at a resort for 1 day, I don't bother unpacking, whats the point? LOL Yes, it is easier, to have ALL of your days at one resort, but if that is not an option, doing that is better than, not being there. ;)

Enjoy your trip! :)

Ok....
I agree i think...lol.....1 night AkV then 2 nights AKV....seems crazy....

Here's where I "rationalize"......AKV and BLT never appealed for a long stay....so I figure I will be doing a "mission" to see where we love or don't for the future.

I'm kinda psyched.....

5 nights BCV....4 nights Carnival.....1 night...AKV...(can u say Jiko)...then...
2 night BLT....Yes....Cali Grill and Hoop de Doo...DD's 9th B' day.....
I think this is good....

I LOVE IT!!! Can I join the crazy club?:lmao: Next August our plans are as follows 1 night @ THV, moving to Hard Rock @Universal for 1 night, then 2 nights @ BLT, 5 night cruise on the Dream, 7 nights @ AKV .

I'm with you about "trying" out resorts to see if I'd like an extended stay. Our "craziness" on our August trip is caused by my DD wanting to visit WWoHP, and I figured we should probably utilize the resort Front of the line benefit, but I didn't want to do it right before we went on the cruise, so we'll have 2 days to just "relax" at BLT before the cruise (except for the short trip to MK :) ), and then tour the parks when we stay at AKV after the cruise.

Did a split stay once at THV and OKW (they are right next to each other) and didn't like doing that. While I can do it, I prefer to keep it simple. I hate packing up and moving.

Me too. I usually just move once.....the cruise in the middle really put a wrench in moving.....and of course I don't HAVE to go back to WDW after but......

Thanks.....i plan on utilizing on-line check in for my last leg and just hope for a room ready. If not I will be mostly hanging at resorts to try and get a good feel of them... and maybe a short park trip.

Wow....that Universal stop will have you on the move:goodvibes.....Sounds like an awesome trip.....Maybe 2 nights at Universal....but then you couldn't try out the villas;)

I pretty much don't unpack all the way anyway...Just take out a few things that wrinkle easy and live out of my suitcase mostly anyway.

Ok.....now I'm stuck for my last leg I am planned for 1 night AKL....then 2 nights BLT.

I'm thinking it might feel more peaceful to do AKL 2 nights....then just move to BLT for the last night which will be DD's 9th birthday.

We will be all packed and ready to go and will just have our leaving day outfit packed on top. No unpacking necessary.

Aaaargh....decisions. Life is good:dance3:
