Ok....

Planning an AWESOME trip:cool1: DD's 9th birthday will be included.

Here goes SO FAR....lol...

BCV 5 nights then 4 night Carnival Cruise.....here's the tricky part.

I will go back to WDW for 3 more nights. DD is DYING to go to BLT for her birthday. Problem is they don't have the 1st night available....just the last 2.
Which left me with 1 night WLV then 2 nights BLT...

NOW...I'm thinking I haven't tried AKV....so should I do Jambo or Kidani????

Final possible plan....

BCV 5 nights, 4 night Carnival, 1 night AKV, 2 nights BLT.

I am waitlisted for the 1st night to do 3 nights at BLT on my final leg....but now I'm thinking since it is not available...maybe I should try AKV.....and then after this trip I HAVE TRIED EM ALL:banana:

Waddya think??

WOW! If you can do it and not lose your mind, more power to you! I know I couldn't do it.

I would check all the resorts for ths last 3 nights to not have to make that one night move.

Hi,
Just off with MS.

I'm doing it:scared1::dance3:
5 nights BCV, 4 night Carnival Cruise...back to WDW...1 night AKV Kidani....2 nights BLT.:dance3:

Add to the fact that I will be going Spring Break....4/12- 4/24. The last leg at Kidani and Bay Lake Tower....I plan on fully enjoying the hotels and relaxing. Only venturing to the parks for a short while...and maybe an ADR.

i would waitlist the first night for blt, 9 year olds like to get cozy in their rooms, and it will probably come through.

I booked a trip like that once, first night bwv, next 3 nights blt, last night at VWL. booked very last minute, stayed at bwv, moved ot blt, asked them at check in if my last night was available, they played around and said yes, called dvc and switched it for me. Said it was silly for me to move!! Worked perfectly!

You could waitlist, then after cruise, go to BLT first and see if they have anything, if not, head over to AKV, you have nothing to loose. But I know my kid after a cruise would not want to move twice.

We did four moves last December and we decided that we won't do it again.

If rooms were ready early and/or on time and if we didn't have some issues, then it wouldn't be so bad. We were exhausted after each move.

If it were me, that one night at AKV would feel like it didn't happen.

Worst case scenario:
You leave DCL and check in at AKV, only to find your room isnt' ready until 4pm. Paged at 4pm, you get to your room it might be 5pm before you're settled, and it's dinner time.

The next day you have to be out of the room by 11. You get over to BLT and could very well find your room isn't ready - so you could be homeless until 4pm again.

Time spent at AKV: minimal.
Time spent at BLT: 2 nights, but only 1 complete day.

Is this how you want to spend your last 3 days on vacation?

Seriously, get on the waitlist for that one night at BLT, even if you have to move down to a smaller room for 1 night it will be worth it not to have to move across the "world"

i hear ya...

I willl but myself on waitlist I think......oh decisions...;)

Maybe, maybe not.

We're going to Caribbean Beach for two nights to sleep off the jetlag (got a great price and am SO hoping for swimming weather b/c their pools look like fun), then a 2 bedroom with extended family at OKW. Then a 1 bedroom at OKW for just us. Then 4 nights at Royal Pacific for our Universal portion. Then to AK Jambo in a 1 bedroom to close out the trip.

We are beyond excited for it. We don't really unpack, not wanting to forget anything inside of drawers, but even if we do, it's not going to be a big deal. And I *want* to have downtime, resort days, on each moving day anyway, so this will enforce it. :goodvibes

Agreed!! This last trip just about did us in. My Bff loves BCV, but I could only get our last night there. We had 1 night at AKV, 1 at SSR and then BCV for our last minute Labor day weekend trip.
Through faults of our own, we arrived late at AKV for our first night, after 10pm. The next day we packed it up to move over to SSR. On our way to SSR, she decided that staying in 1 place for the next 2 nights was more important than hanging out at SAB:rotfl: I called MS and was able to upgrade our SSR studio to a 1 Bed for 2 nights, cancelling our move to BCV. We were both much happier and agreed that next girls trip, no moves and keep the 1 bed!:wizard:

Personally for me, it would be too much. I would take anything that kept me from moving. But hey, if you are up for it, have a good time.

Ok....
I agree i think...lol.....1 night AkV then 2 nights AKV....seems crazy....

Here's where I "rationalize"......AKV and BLT never appealed for a long stay....so I figure I will be doing a "mission" to see where we love or don't for the future.

I'm kinda psyched.....

5 nights BCV....4 nights Carnival.....1 night...AKV...(can u say Jiko)...then...
2 night BLT....Yes....Cali Grill and Hoop de Doo...DD's 9th B' day.....
I think this is good....

I don't think it's crazy - I actually want to do a trip with 6 moves and do one night in each resort for fun someday. We are at the point where we like the resorts more than parks, so we'd only visit parks when we were right next to one.

Since you asked...Yes, you are crazy! I find even one move to take way more time than I'm willing to give up on vacation. When we have done split stays, it has always involved AKV-CL. We have found that moving into concierge helps to lessen the impact a bit....especially at the end of a trip.

I just hate all the packing and unpacking it involves. At least with AKV-CL, I can usually pack most of the stuff in my OL and not have to dig into it much while we are at CL.

I actually do love split stays...but we usually move once for a week or 8 night stay. I semi live out of my suitcase...so no biggie.

It's the cruise that puts the spin....5 nights BCV, then 4 night Carnival....
I probably should just go home:laughing:

But it is soooooo cheap to just add a few days to my park tickets at this point....AND DD is dying to stay at the Contemporary. Which would have been perfect.

But of course they didn't have BLT the 1st night.....so I realized that AKV is the only one left to try. Which makes me want to leave it and not waitlist the 1st night BLT......so i can have tried em all.

Ok...crazy out....ahem...;)

We did it once before as well around Easter, 4 nights SSR moved to OKW for 1 night. Really felt like we moved 3 times as the next day we packed to leave. In addition it gets complicated with the meal plan.

As long as you're happy :goodvibes

All our stays except for 2 have been split between 2 or more rooms. But I have learned that the single nighters don't let us truly experience a resort. Our last split stay was supposed to be 1nt BLT followed by VWL for a week. The idea was just to try BLT, as I didn't really think I'd like it, and it looked too cityish. Well, due to airfare, I added a night onto the front end of our stay, giving us 2 nights at BLT. I loved BLT and was so glad I was able to experience what it'd be like to call it as home base for a full day and really didn't want to move after the second night. Now, If we had just done the 1 night and left I know my view of BLT would be very different - that first night was not the best.

I know...I wish I could do that but I will arrive at AKL kidani early straight from Port Canaveral. We will not go to the park.....I will do online checkin and hope for room ready...If not..no worries. We will hang at resort all day eat dinner at Sanaa to fully enjoy our stay.

I won't want to leave....I never do though:rotfl2:

We're doing our first split stay this December. I wanted to try BLT, but could only get our first night there. So, we have one night at BLT and the rest at AKV-Kidani. I know it's not much for BLT, but we'll be at the resort late-morning and don't plan to do much that day other than enjoy the resort. We may walk over to MK to activate our APs and walk around a bit, but I really want to see the fireworks from the TOTWL. I have waitlisted a few more nights at BLT, if they don't come through, no biggie -- we'll schedule a few more days at BLT next year.

Good luck with all of your moves! How are you getting back and forth to the cruise? We're doing a Disney cruise next year after 5 days at WDW, so I'm considering our travel options for getting back and forth to the ship.
