Am I allowed to talk about magic candle? I know that they are a show sponsor, and I have bought their candles, and I’m not saying that they are horrible, but they are a little bit on the low end. Aren’t they? I think there would be a decent audience for a more upscale option.

I like that they're soy candles instead, and I like some of their scents. I do find it especially frustrating that they essentially only allow 5-star reviews of their products. I saw once before on a board that someone said their less-than-5-star review was taken down. It's also pretty obvious since there's no way that EVERY rating/review for EVERY scent would be 5 stars. Besides the impact on trust, it also just makes the reviews worthless to me - it's actually okay for not every scent to be a home run and for not every scent to be for everyone - negative reviews would actually be helpful when considering trying new scents to see why some people didn't like them.

I think they're expensive for the size. I can get a full sized jar candle from Goose Creek for less. I know the hook is that they smell like certain Disney smells, but the ones I ordered previously seemed sort of generic.

I ordered once and was not a fan. Too much money for a small amount of product

They were a 1 order and done for me.

I loved the idea of having my living room smell like the beach club lobby but like most things that sound too good to be true, it was.

Bought a couple out of curiosity (pirates and haunted mansion) and they're decent but the selling point is that they smell like the experience and it doesn't really hit the mark.

So, I stand corrected - at least to some degree. I wrote this based off of seeing someone state some time back that their review(s) were taken down, and it was based off of just seeing that for all the products they have them all at 5 stars. For some ridiculous reason, I just skimmed through all the reviews, and assuming I didn't miscount by a couple, I did find that not all are 5 stars (although all of the lesser reviews are still very nice and rather positive and complimentary). I found that out of 1,919 reviews: 1,793 were 5 stars, 104 were 4 stars, 16 were 3 stars, 3 were 2 stars, and 3 were 1 star.

We also bought some Bowe's Signature Candles (the one who I guess usually has a tent at Epcot during some festivals) a few months ago, although we only got a few scents: the Clover World, which is very similar to the Yacht, etc. scent from Magic Candle (I'd say maybe a touch less of a sweet hint to it, maybe) - they used to call it Green Clover and Aloe, I think, so it's like the Yacht/Beach scent. I also got "Resort Signature," which is a nice scent too, although I can't say for sure what it smells like, it does smell different than the Clover. In a message I sent to them on Facebook, they said Resort Signature is supposed to be like Contemporary, in so many words. We also got their Wooden Lodge, which I like better than Magic Candle's Wilderness - not quite as cologne-y smelling, but still don't think it's right on Wilderness.

Bowe's is more expensive though - their wax melts are $13 vs. $8 for Magic. I will say, however, that their candles are nicer - they have two styles now (might have changed or I just was in the wrong places before on the site), but I got one of the "Resort Collection" candles (Wooden Lodge) which is $32, but is 18 oz. and is a nice textured glass candle with a wooden wick. It looks like they have 15 oz. ones with three regular wicks, but I can't speak to those.

I finally took the plunge and ordered during their free shipping event with a 20% off coupon.

Was so excited to try the Yacht Club resort scent. It does smell like it when you open the candle. However, the burn barely releases the scent. Not terribly impressed. Like @Traveling on cc points, it is a one and done for me.

Cost too high for results received.

I haven’t tried the candles, but I honestly was really underwhelmed with their oils. And I ordered twice thinking it was just a fluke the first time. Nothing I ordered really reminded me of what they were supposed to represent and a few just didn’t smell good at all.

I know scents can be very subjective, but for the price I wasn’t impressed. Better options out there for me!

I was not impressed with Magic. I went with wishes and have been happy with them.

I ordered some (WAY overpriced) room sprays. Three of them. They smell fine. But the scent has no staying power.

They last all of 3 minutes before the smell is completely gone. And this is in tiny bathroom spaces.

Never ordering from that company again.

I like the dole whip oil and hand sanitizer - smells like a dole whip. I wasn’t super impressed with any other scents as far as smelling like Disney things. Except Rome Burning does smell like that part in Spaceship Earth - I don’t actually use it bc I don’t want my house to smell like that though. I bought it bc I had to know if it smelled like the ride and it totally does.
