Planning August trip and would like to know the best way to make room requests (and to get those requests met).

The easiest way is to have the requests noted when you make your reservation. If you don't do it when you book, you can call back at anytime and add them. There is no way to guarantee requests, but you can always ask for a different room/location when you check in if your requests aren't met. The CM will do everything he/she can to accommodate you, but it will all depend on how busy it is and how booked the resort is at the time.

I will definitely share when we get back! Just watched a You Tube video of Wishes from the lounge. Can't wait to see it for ourselves!!!!

Anyone know what floor the lounge is on? We requested 3rd floor in hopes of a balcony!

The first floor is where you check in with the CL staff, the second floor has the lounge and food, and the third floor has a smaller lounge and bathroom

I'm not sure what time they make their first rounds, but they are SLOW. Ohana has been our least favorite character meal because of how slow it was. We were there for almost 2.5 hours just so DD could see all of the characters. With that said, our interaction with Stitch was one of our favorite ever.

SO EXCITED! We are bringing 2 girls (cousins) to WDW in June who have never been! I am a DVC member so we are staying the first 5 nights at WLV and was able to snag the last 3 nights with my travel agent rate at the Poly! TPV CL! I am surprising my mom as she thinks we are just staying WL regular room!! I couldn't pass it up! There is nothing like the Poly and seeing the fireworks from your room! Plus the agent rate just makes it an easy decision! YAYAY! Oh... and the girls won't know until we pick them up the morning of!

You are right! It can be if you go off season and depends on the type of room you get! I am getting right about 51% right now for June.

Might as well - I'm the defacto travel agent for all my friends and family anyway....

My friends told me yesterday the same thing - I was showing off my lovely booklet that I created with all our plans on it and they were ready to hire me! haha! If only I could get that discount! Although, I'll be really happy if the summer discount that should be released next week works for us!

I would love to be a Disney TA...

From what I've seen and heard on these boards, the summer discount covers the rest of the summer through the middle of August and is the same as the Spring promotion with discounted rooms and tickets when you do a package. I'm banking on it at least because that's how we're doing 5 nights at the Poly!!

Well after much discussion this past weekend, we have decided to do our first Split Stay, this summer

I hope it turns out smoothly!!! It will be our first time at Poly (which has been a dream of mine for quite some time!)

Poly first, then BC/YC for the end of our trip.

Looking at tikiman's site, I am thinking Tokelau (sp?) might be a nice longhouse to request? Want a balcony, garden view level, close to both TTC and GCH/Pool.

can anyone tell me about that longhouse? would I be better off requesting a different one?

That's what I'm planning to request I think. I liked Rapa Nui the last time we were there, but it's set for refurbishment the day after we leave and I want a refurb room! Tahiti looks like it will most likely be closed then, so Tokelau is the next best bet, and I don't think you can go wrong with a view there!

I was just looking at Tahiti ----- don't know why I thought it was for club level guests It might be another one to put on my list!!! (nevermind, it's set for refurb in July)

I do also want a refurbished room, did I read correctly that all the longhouses will have double sink vanities?
