The teens!!!!! :cool1: 19 more days of waiting for Poly bliss..... but it seems like it is going by so fast :scared: I can't believe it!!!! :goodvibes

I caught up on all the July 4th reports. If I was there last week I don't think I would have even watched from the Poly beach, the looks of those pictures made me feel stressed and annoyed... I'm more of a "stand in the middle of the hub :crowded: type of girl" :lmao: My kids don't like fireworks so DH always take them on rides during Wishes, which allows me the opportunity to slide right into the middle of the crowd and blend in. ::yes:: So if you see me snaking thru don't tell anyone!!!! :wave2: :bitelip: :upsidedow pixiedust:

Interesting about those 2nd floor sliding doors. We've always been lucky enough to get the 3rd floor, and I know I wouldn't like being locked in and unable to feel fresh air. That doesn't sound good. :crazy2:

Did you request 3rd floor? That is our only request and I really really hope we get it. Like you said, the 2nd floor sliding doors sound so unappealing to me, and DH hates the idea of an exposed patio with people walking by. Fingers crossed...

Question about the torch lighting ceremony. Is it always at 6pm all year long or does the time change and how long does it last? Is it something I need to be early for? thanks

How's the construction looking there now? Are they done with the beach and fire pit area? I thought I saw something about part of the beach being closed??

If I want to be close to transportation in a refurb room (standard view), which longhouse would you suggest? I was thinking Tokelau? We'll be there the first week of August (8/1-8/9) so I don't think Tahiti will be open yet and Rapa Nui will be closing a few days after we leave so no refurb yet.

Also, where is the laundry room located?

Thanks! :-)

The time stays the same & is only certain days of the week, when you check in you'll be given that weeks activities sheet, times, days for e writhing will be listed.. It's really fun to watch!

2 question in the new refurbed rooms?

Do they now have 2 sinks where there was 1?

Is the storage space in the bathroom now gone? Any shelves besides towel shelves to store things?

They have finished the fire pit and it is up and running! I'm not sure about the other questions...

I can't answer about the storage space, but all rooms are supposed to be redone with 2 sinks :).

We returned a week ago from a refurbished room. There is no storage space in the bathroom. However, the vanity area is huge (and yes, there are 2 sinks) and there was plenty of counter space for me to spread out all my stuff. There is a ton of floor space underneath the counter, but I really don't like to store stuff on the bathroom floor. I really wish they would have added a shelf under that really long counter...would have been nice. There is a towel shelf over the toilet, but it is that roll bar shelf, good for only towels, although I did store the provided blow dryer up there. There is so much other space in the room, however, I don't think you will have a problem. Have fun!

Can anyone tell me what kind of coffee makers are in the rooms now? I want to bring some extra coffee/filters/pods and don't know what to get.

We were just there over the 4th and honestly being in Hawaii TPV really put Poly up near the top of our favorite Disney resorts. What a difference, for our family, the TPV made for us. Maybe because it was over the 4th and we felt very fortunate to be able to watch Wishes right from our patio. We'd grab some desserts and drinks from the lounge and then sit on our patio for Wishes and it was like a dream. We've stayed at CR TPV CL before and thought that couldn't be beat, but now I've changed my tune a little after having experience Hawaii TPV at Poly. Congratulations on your upgrade -- you are in for a real treat!

Pools and beach - why are they better at the Poly than CR? (I have a DD2 and DS6 if it makes a difference)
