We leave today for our first Poly Stay! We won't check in til around 7 Sunday morning, but we start our drive today! After checking in we are heading to the MK!!

Have a safe and magical vacation!! pixiedust:

I can't wait for the feeds and everyone's reports! I just love hearing how gorgeous it is :thumbsup2

I have 5 months to go and I'm already having stress dreams about vacation. We're in MK but getting NOTHING done. Just wondering around while I try to herd the family toward a ride. Last night we finally got to the castle, but had to stop to eat and nap!!! I'm waking up super stressed!:rotfl:

:lmao: I have dreams like that all the time, except it's Christmas Eve and I haven't done any shopping or decorating yet. :)

From what I've read (and, keep in mind, everything is either rumor or speculation at this point) there will be nothing going on at all this year. There may be some room refurbishment happening toward the end of the year, but that seems unlikely as well.

Honestly, all we really do know is that DVC is probably coming to the Polynesian.

Thanks, Guitarob! I was just hoping for that "magical bump" into a theme park view rooom. :rotfl2:

Can't wait til September, when I go back to THE POLY with guitarob! :yay:

:yay::cool1::dance3::woohoo::cheer2::banana:

It's time to do our Happy Dance!!! We just booked a short trip for September!!! We didn't think it was going to be possible for another year or so, but we managed to squeeze it in!!!! No CL this time, but at least we'll be able to see our beloved resort they way we know it one last time just in case the DVC and major renovation rumors do manifest as truth. :scared:

:woohoo: So glad to hear about your upcoming trip! Unfortunately for me, I won't be there to see you this year. Our family trip is at the end of July and we are going to CSR then BWV. But of course, you are probably happy not to see the nutty lady at the pool bugging you

Don't forget!

Those of you who will be at the poly between June 1st to June 9th, I would like to meet some of you. We have rented the premium cabana all day and night at the poly on the 7th! We are planning a quiet dinner at the cabana around 6p but the rest of the time is wide open. If the live feed is working we can even set up an event to say hello to those who werent fortunate enough to make it on your trip! So pop in and say hello! Of course my name is Carl and my wife's name is Azure :thumbsup2

Bummer - I would so like to meet you and your family! Have so much fun!!!!

ahhhh, disney water!!!! it has tasted like that for as long as i can remember.:lmao: i dont drink it anymore. about 5 years ago, i ended up with a bug. ohhhh it was nasty. 24 hour thing. i guess it could have come from anything but i think it was the water.
i stick to good old american coca-cola now. it may not be good for you but at least im not tossing it up later.

I used to bring the drink packets like Crystal lite to put in the water but a few years ago, we noticed that the whole family (me, DH and the 2 kids) were needing to pee every few minutes. My husband claimed it was the water we were drinking and from that moment on, we haven't had another drink of Florida tap water. And once we went to the bottled water down there, our bladders stopped freaking out. But we are spoiled with our crisp Mountain tap water here so there aren't many places I like to drink tap water anyway. :snooty:

I agree with you all: the water is yucky. I will drink it if I need something free, but that smell is just yuck to me. I even dislike the smell of the ice in my cokes! Picky, right?

BTW: 8 day dance!!!

I was looking at the dining plan and noticed that writers stop in HS is no longer on the plan! Has anyone that has been there recently know if indeed that is the case?:confused3

Just returned home from the Poly. It was our first time and we enjoyed it very much!

Now we are looking forward to a future trip!

Hey lady! Are you kidding? We loved seeing you! And I miss talking on the boards with you about the various beverages in WDW (I just looked through my PTR and that's, like, all we talked about). ;)

Aw, thanks! I LOVE all the yummy drinks at the Poly and WDW! I was on my quest for new things when I was there a couple weeks ago by myself. I discovered the Pomegrante Margarita at La Cava in Mexico - YUM! And I tried a frozen Bacardi mojito at the Refreshment Port (located just before Canada as you enter world showcase). It was really good! I dare say that I enjoyed it as much as a Grey Goose Slushie! It had a great mojito taste even though it just looked like a colorless slushie. But it was in a large cup (not the dinky ones from France :lmao:) and it wasn't as expensive (about $8).

And on my last Poly trip (last October), I really enjoyed the Island Sunset. While it isn't as potent as some of the drinks, it made for a refreshing and tasty drink to start off the evening. Here is a picture of the drink and the menu opened to that page:

I love that sunset!! Yummy,, but did anyone notice there is no price on the menu?? (as if we don't care how much it is!) :rotfl2:

Just back from our Poly stay ... didn't see this posted anywhere so thought I'd post a quick pic of the new toiletries. Don't know if the change was just in the Hawaii Bldg or resort wide

At polyp right now and only getting the regular standard toiletries as in years past. We are in Fiji.
