Good morning everyone!

Absolutely - I agree.

But there's been lots of "encouraging" going on to call IN to Disney to get an upgrade - not being offered anything first BY Disney. The OP came right out & said they called in to Disney, Disney didn't call them. That put the gleam in the eye of several others now that have calls in...it's true the squeaky wheel gets the grease but it's getting a little out of hand.

nobody encouraged me to call, But I had booked for something based on the Disney website and then told I might not get it because it was only a request. It like anything else in life if you pay for for a service and then dont get it you are going to make a call to have the problem fixed.

I love Disney. We have stayed at the POLY, WL, CR, GF, AKL, OKW, SSR, BC, CB, POFQ AND ASsp, POP...and a few more and always have been happy with all levels of accommodations because they always give me what I paid for. Unfortunately this time it was not the case so I called.

I'll join you with a morning shot today Carl ...

Wishing I had a pic of the ducks enjoying a morning swim in the volcano pool. My girls always get a kick out of that!

WOW Great shot. Is that Tuvalu 3rd floor?

Ah, all these morning photos are making me think the extre $1000 is worth it to have all 12 nights at the Poly in the Hawaii building. :cloud9:

Good Morning Poly Lovers! I dropped in on the summer thread when we were booking a CL GV room but then I had to cancel that ressie and re-examine our travel dates and resort. We got our dates straightened out and toyed around with WL for a bit, but I am happy to say we are officially booked at the Poly. This time no CL just a GV but I am still very happy that our first trip to Disney as a family will be at the Poly. We will be there from Nov. 3-11, 2012 (yes, Jersey Week but our only other options were Christmas/Thanksgiving/Easter so in comparison Jersey Week will be better crowd wise).

Carl, thanks for the great pics! I really enjoy them. I also like to wake up early when on vacation and take a walk snapping pics along the way.

Thanks. Yes, it is. Tuvalu really is a hidden gem. I know Tahiti is really popular for TPV rooms, but we really loved Tuvalu the two times we stayed there.
This is another sunrise shot from Tuvalu.

We stayed in Hawaii for the first time in October. For us it was totally worth it disneydreamin247 (which is why we are staying CL TPV again this year!)

With my little ones (8 years and 17 months next time we go) we are only in the room for resting really. Otherwise we are in the parks, the lounge, or around the resort enjoying everything the Poly has to offer. I'd rather spend the money on more nights than a better view.

DH insists on the TPV because his favourite thing is to unwind and watch the fireworks from the balcony every night. With the ability to use the lounge for Wishes though if you're not spending a lot of time in the room I totally agree the savings on view to have a few more nights would be worth it. Even without the TPV we would still love Hawaii. The location is prime and having the extra space the lounge affords, especially with kids, is so nice. We ate most of our breakfasts there (we're light morning eaters) and we also liked just passing through the lounge to grab a snack on our way back to the room.

Aloha Poly peeps!

I've changed from BC to Poly, etc. etc. Right now we are booked at BC CL, but I can't shake Poly CL. We would do GV...but I am torn what to do. The Poly is calling. So I wanted to post a pic that I took from our table at O'hana's breakfast :worship:
Sorry if it's a little blurry

Ahh, keep the pictures coming. What a great way to brighten up a grey February morning!

All my little Poly lovers! Last night I was talking to DS about how we are staying somewhere off the monorail for the first 4 nights and he was seriously disappointed! He demanded the Grand or Poly. When I told him we had to save just a little bit of money so he could buy stuff he agreed to explore our options. He likes POR better than Pop because they have a slide.
