I'm thinking of upgrading our GV CL room to LV CL. I would love to look out our window and see the beautiful scenery, but then I think of how silly it is to pay for that view when I'll have the beautiful view from the lounge.

You could just change your ressie to another resort & complain & then get a free upgrade....seems to be the theme lately!

I had been considering POR but it seems no one wants to really stay there.

Hey now I thought this was in the past? A lot of the people moved are because Disney promised them something and they could not follow through on it. Not the guest just complaining they didn't like something.

I'm just stating a fact. I'm a guest looking to try a new resort before my Poly stay and if so many people are leery of POR then I think I'm entitled to be as well.

Well...I just switched from Poly to POR, so guess we'll have the place to ourselves!!!!

The problem with POR is that people booked rooms that are being upgraded and the rooms are not ready, so Disney has been shifting these guests to deluxe resorts.

Just got home from the Poly. Left the resort at 1:15 and the pool was alive and kickin. Noticed the slide was running water and asked if it was open. Yes it was.

There is some scaffolding where the waterfall should be and it's not running and there were few people in it as it was an overcast windy day. Awesome weather for visiting a park.

That's me! I had no intention of staying at POLY. It was not on my radar but when I knew that they could not come through on the room I booked I call and they offered. I jumped at the chance becaue it probably will never happen again. The next trip I am heading to POR.

Well we just booked our flights today!! Kept watching Airtran flight down to come down in price and today it did!! So excited! That is one less hurdle to pass, and we are happy with price too! September here we come!

Right now there's about 50 14-16 year old argentinian girls staying there. They're quiet for the most part but hard to miss if you happen to be in a park with them.

Absolutely - I agree.

But there's been lots of "encouraging" going on to call IN to Disney to get an upgrade - not being offered anything first BY Disney. The OP came right out & said they called in to Disney, Disney didn't call them. That put the gleam in the eye of several others now that have calls in...it's true the squeaky wheel gets the grease but it's getting a little out of hand.
