I wish I was there! I just wanted to post some pics to get the discussions going!! I don't like checking Poly thread and seeing no updates.

It's like seeing a baby but not being able to make them laugh! Verrrrry disappointing!

Just booked with a 35% off pin code I received for October.

We will be there Oct 15th - 24th, 9 nights, in TPV.

I would like to add a request for Tuvalo 3rd floor. I know it is probably hard to get that but I still want to try. What is the best way to do this? Just call and have them note it? Am I better off checking in online early or waiting till I get to front desk so I can try again to get the request there if they assign a different room?

You should call and have it noted on your reservation. I wouldn't do online check-in. I've read multiple reports that this negates your requests.

I usually have it noted on my reservation. I also do online check-in. I have always gotten my room requests. When you do online check -in you can let them know when you will be arriving. They will have your package ready for you. I believe it also gives you better chance of having your room ready. Our room has always been ready even when we check-in before noon.

When I used online check-in I did not get my room requests. I have just done regular check-in and my room has always been ready (we always arrive before noon) and I got my requests. It has been said on numerous threads that doing online check-in sends your reservation to the automatic room assigners.

I was just sharing my experience with on-line check it. It has worked well at 7 different resorts over the last year, and I have always gotten room request. I can't vouch for other peoples experiences only my own.

Thanks for the pictures Carl! I haven't been on this thread in a while and I am now homesick for the Poly. Our last stay there was 2 years ago and this year we got a better discount at BC and since we've never stayed there we are going to try it out but I just hope we get back soon in case those rumors of them changing the Poly come true.

I always say my life was so much easier before the Internet. I'm the kind of person that agonizes over reviews and infor action before making a purchase. It took my 3 weeks to pick a new hair dryer because of mixed reviews on them. Sometimes information isn't a good thing!
