It turned out he didn't like how one of the engines was sounding and he didn't feel comfortable taking off.
Back to the terminal where we waited a few hours for another plane but we got home in one piece.I use Allegiant for flights to St. Petersburg on a regular basis. Only had one delay in 4 years due to a flooding toliet. Remember that you are charged a fee for everything: Seat selection, baggage, food and drink, etc. This past weekend when I flew on them to Vegas, they made everyone get their carry ons tagged with a sticker at the ticket counter. Even if you had only a carry on, you still had to stand in line. Apparently, they have had problems with the size and amounts of carry ons.
Ah, so did you see if they were enforcing the carry-on guidelines? I was planning on the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" approach this year and bringing a 20" suitcase as my carry-on.
We have flown Allegiant to LAX and I like the airline--love their cheap fares from time to time.
We only take carry ons and in May they came and measured my bag while I was waiting to board. It passed.
Last week we booked tickets to Phoenix for this week--great prices--and again, we will take only carry ons. They usually charge less for checked bags if you pre-pay when buying your tickets. The 1 checked bag fee was $49.99That is crazy. That sure encourages everyone to take carry ons and their cheap fares don't look so cheap if you need to check a bag, plus the in/out of Sanford factor--needing to rent a car or hiring a car service.
All Allegiant flights to Orlando are now out of MCO--no more Sanford!
When is the effective date? When I search for flights to Orlando, there is a note on the page that says the flight is into Sandford.
It would be great if they switched to MCO--more convenient.
