We are here now staying in the Calypso Building Family Suite with a pool view.
The noise is not a problem as we are not getting up until 11am each day and going to bed at midnight, so whilst the pool is noisy it hasn't been a problem for us. Also it's great to see what is going on and you have very easy access to everything.
If you are planning on rising early and going to bed before 10pm, then I suggest not getting a pool view.
The construction has now gotten annoying, I have made another post on this. Basically they have now closed off the entrance to the food court that is closest to Calypso building 10 and also some of the seating areas inside have been reduced to acccomodate the construction. They have had to move the coffee, toasters and microwave to another part of the food court and lost seating in the process. This has also created a walkway between the registers and the seating areas that is only 1 person wide, causing all kinds of people traffic jams. Not sure how long this is going on for, we are here till Thursday so will keep updating.
Again this is not bothering us as we are using the food court at "off-peak" times and haven't had a problem with lines or seating.
Family Suites are great especially if you only have a small family. We are only 3 people. DH and I have the main room and DS4 is sleeping on the pullout sofa. Having the extra space has been fanstastic for us as we just spent a week at DLR and the GCH in a small room, so this is a good break before we head to the Poly for a week next Thursday.
I have been very impressed with the ASMu and could have probably done the whole stay here and given the Poly a miss. However I think that's only because we are in the Family Suite. It's like a small apartment with a kitchenette, so it has been very relaxing. We are not spending huge days in the parks rather just a few hours each day in the afternoon so having the space at the hotel was important to us.
