So who can tell me why they've sort of separated it from the other 2?

What do you mean "separated it"? It's still part of the same complex. I don't think it costs any more or less than the others (exception being the suites at Music). Same proximity to the Music as Music is to Sports. Not sure what you mean :confused3.

Demand.

For whatever reason (I think it is the theming), more people want to stay at ASMovies than the other two. More demand means fewer/lower discounts.

I agree. ASMovies is Disney in your face. It's decorated with the the characters and movies that make up what people think of when they think of Disney. We choose it over the other AS for that reason. The kids love it there.

Not sure how you are getting different pricing for Movies over Sports and Music. I just plugged in a sample date range of 6-7 to 6-13 and all three All Stars are $159.71 per night.:confused3

We decided to drive straight through & add a night before our package starts in aug. music is $152 movies is $170. That's a large difference & would add up over multiple nights.

Oh, if I was going to pay that much I would go,the extra $11 and stay at Coronado. It's $181.

I see. That's because at music you were looking at a standard room and at movies you were looking at a preferred room. The difference between the standard and preferred is $18 at all the All Stars.

Nope both standard. So the room prices are different or the discount is different. Either would mean they are separating the movies from the other two.

The normal room prices are definitely not different. If your using a discount, that's different. It must be that music has a discount that movies doesn't. They only have so many rooms at each resort that qualify for a discount, Movies must not have any more rooms left under that discount.

Beginning of Aug, but I was curious and went and looked up the discount and movies isn't included in the discount.

Gotcha. That makes sense. I went day by day from August 1st to 31st and all 3 had the exact same rate. Funny that the difference you found with the discount, $18, is the exact difference between a standard and preferred.

I actually booked movies cheaper than the other AS resorts, don't remember exact difference, but over 7 night stay it was probably about $250

That is very interesting!

Hmm, very interesting. I couldn't compare it to sports b/c it didn't come up as an option.

We've only stayed 2 nights at Movies. We add it to the beginning of our trip last year so we cannot compare it to the others. That's why I'm so curious.

With the summer discount the % off is higher at sports and music. Im not sure of exact % but we have 2 standard rooms at movies for 5 nights Aug 11- 16. It would be aprox. $84 less to stay stay sports or music. I chose movies basically for my daughter who loves 101 dalmations.

In the past I have seen ASMU & Sports at a 20% discount and ASMO as a 15% discount. Pop is also included with a 20% discount. Those discounts are usually what I receive when I get the Disney postcards with pin codes in the mail.
