Hello everyone! I've been lurking around here for a while, and decided to post because I can't really find any information about the DVD collection at ReliveTheMagic. :confused3 :

It looks so neat! There was a post about it here a while back, but it seems that it is fairly new and no one could really comment on it yet. I read the review at disneyworldtrivia, and it sounds really neat. Does anyone have this yet? I would love to know more about it/what you guys think about it. I know that if anyone is going to know about it, it's going to be someone from the DisBoards!! :teeth: Thanks for any help!

yep. i have them and i love them. any time i need a dose of the world i just pop one in! it helps when you haven't been and really need to go!!!

i paid 89.99 for a 5 dvd set. i have watched all 5 dvd's. so ask any questions!

Sorry to jump in but..where did you get them?? Do they have the music as well?? Do they show the "shows" in full?? Any of the resorts???

TIA!

I have almost all of the wdw inside out shows on dvd and i love watching them over and over again.

I also have almost all the travel channel wdw specials on dvd as well.

i bought mine at the world of disney show in DTD. but they were at the resort and all of the parks also. you can buy them individually or as a bundle with all 5. it was cheaper to buy the bundle and since i wanted all of them...

Do they have the music as well?? ..... not really sure what you mean by that. i also bought a cd with all the music from the rides and shows. listened to it on the way home. made leaving easier. don't remember the price but i think it was around $25.

the dvd's show snippets of rides and shows. not the whole thing. but you are escorted around the parks by different characters. they are really cute.

I think the DVDs the OP is talking about are home movies of the parks not the dvds release by Disney.
I thought it was illegal to do this? :confused3

I loved the inside out shows. Wish they would release them on video or tape all new ones!!!!

All i was doing was stating a fact that love to watch the disney shows that i have on dvd to help remind me of the good times i have there as well.

since when is it illegal to tape the shows to tivo that travel channel shows and then put them on a dvd for myself?? Its the same as putting them to vhs tape, but on dvd instead. Same for the wdw inside out shows-i just transferred them to dvd from my own personal vhs tapes that i made years ago-why is that illegal? If it was, they would not have made dvd recorders. I put all my favorite tv shows to dvd and watch them whenever i like, especially disney shows.

I didn't mean taping them yourself. I meant selling for a profit. I had considered doing this and was told that I could not make a profit.
Sorry I wasn't clear. Just wish I would have taped them when they were on. I LOVED that show.

They're neat. You just gotta make sure they all work. Plus, some of the dark ride (Space Mountain/POTC) are useless.

There are some reviews and stuff on the Inside the Magic forums I think. (Go to www.distantcreations.com and click on Inside the Magic forums)

Anyway, the podcast review said they were home movies with some issues, but overall pretty good.

There is a web site that sells DVD's off all the old rides complete. I can't mention the web site here but if you PM me I will tell you where to go. They sell for 14.95 each and the more you buy the cheaper they are. The site is legal so there is no laws being broken.I have a number of the DVD's Te submarine ride, world of motion, etc.

That's funny. I just emailed Ricky Brigante the other day about the whole set of DVD's. When I heard him review them, I was interested. I clicked on the banner on his site and ordered them. Right now they are on sale for $149.00. They include the resorts as well. There are 18 discs with over 20 hours of viewing pleasure.

Have a magical day,
Anna

Great review, thanks for the link. If I had any reservations that review certainly cleared it up for me. Oddly, I just received my "mailed" email 40 mins ago. Can't wait to start watching.

Have a magical day,

There is also a full review of these DVDs here

I bought these based on Lou Mongello's review, though they are a sponsor of his show...I think. Lou was right. They are good but not terrific in quality. I have spent years trying to video tape rides and will NEVER get the coverage they have. For that alon, it is worth it. Also, check the DVDs for problems. A couple of mine skipped a bit

There is actually an exclusive 10% discount off the DVDs (as well as the entire order) now available for readers of the review and site members. Check out my review for more information.
