Even an unexpected hospital stay is made better by Mickey! Disboards friend, Ed, sent this to me ... my nurses loved it! :lovestruc

Again fractal - what a shot! Wish I could photograph like you do - think I need some lessons to really take advantage of my DSLR.

yes, those photos are great....me a simple point and shoot set on auto :rolleyes: and hope for the best :rotfl:

Thanks Ladies!

The best advise I can give, no matter what camera you use;

Try to keep as steady as possible - even lean against something or set the camera on something (railing, trashcan, etc.). Stay steady through the shot.

Learn a few basics about composition such as the "rule of thirds" and avoid "slanted horizons" (I used to be very guilty of that).

Find and use good light. Don't be afraid of using the flash (except on dark rides). Even on a sunny day, a flash can fill in needed light especially if you are shooting into the sun.

Experiment. Have fun and experiment with the camera. Slowly learn the different modes and move away from Auto setting.

Having said all that, I'm enjoying all your photos and your glimpses into my favorite place on Earth! :-)

Thanks for the advice.......the steady part is what I really need to work on. And the pictures of the things moving :rolleyes: I usually end deleting most of those.

If your camera has a "sports" setting (sometimes looks like a person running), use that for moving objects.
