elgerber-- Rick is supposed to be performing at the Emmy's. I saw him in concert when I was in the 7th grade!!! Then again a couple of years ago at a July 4th celebration (I felt like I was in 7th grade all over again!!! )

Ruth is in the attic with "Bobby" the son that magically disappeared overnight.


Count me in as an old-timer as well. Benny always calling Phoebe "Dutchess", Palmer trying to break up Nina and Cliff, when Chuck found out Donna was a you know what....

That attic is going to get pretty crowded! I was thinking that's where Timmy is. And who remembers Brooke "the wild one" having an affair with Benny?

Oh yes! And who remembers Devon and her drinking problem - what was her kid's name - jeez, I'm drawing a blank, but that kid was always perched in the high chair while Devon tied one on.

And who could forget Benny's wild child daughter - Emily Ann. Didn't she try to do Tad at one point? Oh wait, everyone tried to do Tad at one point!

You guys are going WAY back with AMC Memories. I started watching when: Myrtle was having a "thing" with Phoebe's hubby, turned out they were in the "circus" together!? Also, Stuart being locked away, and turning out to be Adams twin! Now, thats the ONLY character they have kept real on the show. Also, Palmer and Donna, and Cliff and Nina.

OMG! Those were some of the best ones ever - the ones where Myrtle had something on Langley. She would corner him in a room when nobody was listening and say "Listen LENNY..." It was a hoot!

And then, after she ribbed on him about being plain old Lenny Vlasic, he'd go over to Phoebe and say "Oh my dearest spring flower, you are the light of my life, yada, yada..." in his fancy shmancy Langley Wallingford voice.

Was Benny's daughter's name Dottie Thornton? I know that some character from the old days is now on CSI as one of the lab techs. I THINK it might be a much thinner actress who was Dottie Thornton. I know the lab tech from CSI was someone on AMC. Anyone else notice that?

I started watching AMC with my grandma on the very first episode, waaaaay back when it was still broadcast in black and white! Heck, Erica was still in high school when I started watching! I didn't really start getting hooked until Tom and Erica's wedding tho. AMC's reall heyday though had to be around the time of Greg and Jenny's adventures and Cliff and Nina's wedding.

And yes, I actually remember Erica's abortion. She wasn't conned into it, she DID NOT want a child. This rewriting history is just plain insulting to us "oldtimers"

She SOOO was not conned. She absolutely did not want a baby, she felt like it would hold her back and she was just way too busy for it. She wanted to be famous...to be a "somebody"...


OMG, did any of you people see Cady McClains dress on the Emmy's...I just saw it.....flame me if you must, but I thought IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!...so the WRONG, wrong, dress for her body type. Just dreadful.

I totally agree about the dress on Cady. Not only that, but her whole demeanor was wierd--she looked like she was playing a kid playing dress up, the way she kept twisting her legs when she was talking, and then, as the writers were leaving the stage, she skipped by the camera. She's a little too old to be playing the ingenue.

The one on the original CSi is Liz Vassey who played Emily way back in the late '80's, I think.

I am SOOOOO bummed, non of our people won. I think Leven (Lily) deserved to win. She looked so pretty tonight too. I liked Erica's dress and I agree about Cady's dress and her giddiness - if that is what it was.

I wish they would have panned the audience more, I hardly saw anyone from our show - just the ones nominated or presenting. Where was Tad, Aiden, Erin, Reggie, David, Dr Madden........etc.

Thankfully at least Tony Geary won from GH - at least one award to an ABC actor.

Cady's dress was horrible and meant for a younger woman. I'm so sad Levin and Thorston didn't win. Levin plays Lily so well.

As for earlier years, I liked Angie and Jessie a lot. Chuck and Donna were great also.

I think Cady called her "stylist" up because she wanted someone to blame for that dress. She grabbed her and said, "This is my stylist. She picked out this whole thing." Cady....Just Say No!!!

Cady's dress was awful! However did you see Elizabeth from the View's? Equally as bad!

I liked when Thorsten(Zach) kept asking Alicia(Kendall) where the rest of her dress was! But that girl needed some color in her dress. And Thorsten asking Cameron about getting his own stage. ROFL...I love that Thorsten!!!!

My fav part of the Emmy's was the 3 girls from OLTL singing! Wow! I never knew Bobby Eakes(Krystal) had a singing career???

Another vote for Cady for worst dressed! That was horrible! I even had to show my husband. I thought Susan Lucci looked nice. What about Emma Samms though? That woman was way to old to have a dress exposing her "girls" like that!

I found myself rooting for Thorsten Kaye too. That is funny to me, because I detested him when he was Patrick on OLTL, and he was a good guy there. But I sure have grown to love him now.

And Rick Springfield, be still my beating heart LOL. Turns me back into a 12 year old girl every time!
