All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

I think Brooklynn did fantastic job with her camera! She and Drew will have much to discuss on the subject in the future...

We have been talking about making a drive to Legoland when we are there this summer.
Ticket prices are reasonable. $10 for children and $25 for adults.
Anyway, we can pile into the van and head over there if you are game on one of your non-park days...

Hi I am catching up so I am not sure if anyone said anything but are you sure about those prices? I live in Fla and I have been looking since they opened and it looks like $75 and $65 with a little discount if you pre-purchase. If You know something let me know. lol I have been making enemies of my kids refusing to pay disney prices for legoland. :scared1:

Memom- I am so sorry you received such sad news in a place you love so much. I received news of a student who had been shot and killed while I was in the gift shop at Coronado springs and I will never forget that feeling you described of being weird to be having fun when such a big sad thing just happened. My heart goes out to you and your whole family.

Maybe we are getting a deal on the tickets. A DIS friend that has a private school is getting them for us....

Love EoS! I finally strayed from the Hawaiian BBQ sandwich this past trip and tried the Italian...I was so glad I did! There is supposedly one opening in Boston, but it has said "coming soon" for quite some time, so I'm starting to lose hope.

I LOVE your shopping pictures!!!!!! I know that the evening after hearing about Joan must have been hard. You are so right though, she wouldn't have wanted you to not have fun at your happy place.

We are leaving tomorrow night to drive to Savannah and then into WDW on Thursday  I have my big meeting at 2:00 today and then I can focus on getting everything wrapped up and really get excited. I am off tomorrow, and Chloe is going to school so I will have the day to pack and get a mani/pedi. It will be nice to have the day to do the last minute stuff and to get in vacation mode :thumbsup2 Hope everyone has a great week and weekend. If anyone wants a picture of something or for me to look for anything, just let me know.

We all hope you have a blast on your trip! :cool1:

As for me, I'll take as many pictures of anything as you want to send. I'm starting to really feel the pain of the 'no spring break trip' thing. I was doing okay, but in the last few days, as the focus of the observation work is behind me and I've felt the warmth of the spring air, I've really been wishing that I was still 30 days from a trip to Flower & Garden Festival.

Crying is good for the soul I think.

True. ::yes::

I have learned to bang the edge on the countertop. It always seems that when I need the help no one is around so I am stuck waiting or figuring it out. :sad2: I am not too patient, so I usually figure it out.

I run hot water over a jar and try again. If that doesn't work, I'll just do without the pickles or whatever it is. If I started banging things in this old house, I'd break something, and then I'd have a lot bigger problem than doing without my pickles!

Shopping and dancing in the street?! Sounds like an awesome evening to me!:thumbsup2 Brooklynn seems to be quite the budding photographer. It's cool to see the world from her point of view!

I liked seeing the pictures of the girls dancing in the street. Bella was really paying attention and trying to follow along. It was pretty cute. I can't wait to see both of my sweet girls on Saturday. We get to go see some Disney Princesses on Sunday! :dance3:

I will certainly never forget where we were at the time we found out. Every time I even write about it here, I feel the tears well up. :sad1: Sorry to hear about your student, too. I guess at any point in time someone else is having a sadness while we are having a gladness, and vice-versa. I look forward to the time when all will be gladness - no more tears or sorrow. :)

I looked on the Legoland website. They were like the prices you said. Good for Wigd for getting them 'dirt cheap'! :woohoo: I think we'll be hitting Sea World as our first off-property adventure, when the time comes.

I have had the BBQ, but not the Italian. I've never had an Earl sandwich I didn't like, though, so I am sure I would like it.

If Earl ever comes to live in Nashville, I won't have to worry about going too long between visits from Jill. :goodvibes

Good morning! I'm very rarely up before 8:30 but this morning I am  I got up early to get a little more studying done...and somehow ended up on the DIS  How does that happen? :rolleyes1 Well I got the hardest test out of the way yesterday. I have my history test in a couple hours, and then I'm going home. It's supposed to start snowing around noon and the roads are supposed to be a mess around 4:00 which is when I usually drive home. No thanks, I'll enjoy the snow from my house. I haven't missed my Mon/Wed classes at all so one skipped class won't kill me.

Well I was planning on resisting the single digit dance until after my test, but I can't wait any more...9 DAYS!!! (ignore the fact that my ticker says 8 days. It's been a day off the whole time for some reason) I'm so ready to be there! After all of this studying and paper writing this week and last week, I'm completely exhausted. I have to take one test today and one next week, and then I can escape to my happy place :cloud9: I can officially see the first day of my trip on the 10 day forecast. It says partly cloudly, high 80 degrees, low 60. And for here it says partly cloudy too. I hope it stays that way. I'm always so paranoid about snow delays!

They got rid of the game tree at DTD??? Oh, that's disappointing!! I loved that one!

Sometimes a good cry really is exactly what is needed. What a place to receive news of that nature. I hope the next day treated you guys much better!

We are having our first snow day of the year, so I have a chance to catch up on trip reports! :cool1:

You might only have one picture for Earl, but it did the job in making my tummy rumble!

I hope you are safe and sound at home.

And keep that snow far away from Tennessee, please! We've been having severe thunderstorms and some tornado watches throughout the day, but I think it has died down now.

80's and 60's - sounds great! :cool1:

I hope they will bring it back again. Maybe the games needed freshening u or something.

That day was rough. We did still have a great time the rest of the trip, but that day was not easy, so we really didn't do a lot for the rest of the day.

We will just miss each other. We arrive on 4/6 and leave 4/14.

Don't you just hate when that happens? :sad2:

I certainly enjoyed all those snow days last year, but I have also enjoyed not having a high heating bill this year. Maybe we can alternate between those two every winter? :goodvibes

I've got Mexican on my mind right now. I just finished making an enchilada casserole for tomorrow. Drew will not be happy when he comes in, sees it, then finds out it's not for home. Maybe we will have leftovers I can bring home for him. He loves Mexican food!

I love seeing the world from Brooklynn's point of view! She is a great little photographer! :thumbsup2

LOVE your shopping pictures...anything Disney instantly cheers me up! I just got home from DL on Saturday and I'm already in withdrawal...

I love the pictures of the boat ride from OKW to DTD. The lights across the water are really pretty.

Oh, Earl, how I miss thee! Yummm :goodvibes

It's good that you were able to get your time alone to cry and get your emotions out for Aunt Joan. So hard to handle something like that ever, especially while in WDW.

We look forward to seeing your Disneyland pictures!

We get to have a little dose of Disney this weekend, as we are going to a Disney Live show here in Nashville. I don't know if it will be a good thing, or if it will just make us want to be in WDW even more. :upsidedow

Lights on the water are pretty. I always feel the same way when we are at the Boardwalk - all of the lights on the water make for such pretty pictures.

I've been reading that there are a few Earl shops scattered about the country. Could make for a good field trip! :goodvibes

Thanks for the sweet thoughts. I think I probably cried myself to sleep that night.

I will always let you hide behind me. :goodvibes

If I put you and Jackie side by side, the two of you will cover up the worst part of me, I guess, so thanks for the offer.

Let's start the morning at Pop Century.

Think we could get a group together to do this?

IMG_6705.jpg

I would have been in for it 40 years ago. :)
I would have only been able to stay like that for 1.5 seconds, though, and I would have needed to leave that narrown hallway immediately after that. ;)

Here I am walking around the gift shop again.

Fun bracelets.

Time for another round of Name This Object.

Answer coming next time.

I love to start my morning with shopping pics!:goodvibes

I like the turtle bracelet although they are all really cute!

Yes I will have a Mickey Waffle for breakfast please. I just ate & I am still hungry!!

Great update! Those bracelets are so pretty, but I have yet to pick one up! I think the picture is of the wooden lifeguard board by the pool, so they can stabilize people who are hurt!

We look forward to seeing your Disneyland pictures!

Me too!!!

You know I feel you don't need to cover yourself up but if that is waht it takes to get you in a picture I will do it. :goodvibes

She got it. I was going to sit out since I am very familiar with that piece of equipment. :upsidedow
