All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

I love the MK holiday displays! :santa:

I hope everyone stays safe with the crazy weather! We got about a foot of snow yesterday.

You are correct on the guess. I think those bracelets are pretty, and I take pictures of them all the time. I don't like any jewelry, though, except earrings. I need to find a way to make the beads into earrings.

Thanks! I love bracelets, but my problem is finding ones that fit! I have tiny wrists, so I normally have to buy kids bracelets! I have found that Charming Charlie has some smaller bracelets, so I need to get one from there! Making beads into earrings is actually pretty easy! I think they have a kit at Joanns. I really don't think Bella could get any cuter! I love all of the glitter on the Walt Disney plaque! I am also very thankful that Roy kept going after Walt's death! I Love the picture of the Walt statue in front of the castle! The flowers make it a little bit better! I live in Michigan, but i'm headed to Cinncinati around 3pm today for a friends wedding. I watched the weather this morning and they said that basically I'm driving right into the teeth of the storm :( I will keep you updated through fb.

Just popping in to see how the weather is doing in you and Jill's area?!?! I saw some storms in Northern Alabama so was concerned!!!

LOVE MK at Christmas time!! I will get there someday LOL!!! Sorry I haven't been around too much life has just been so busy here with many things!!! Thank you for sharing your morning with us!!!

Oh, what a lovely morning in the Magic Kingdom! :) That Castle just never gets old to see, ever  The Christmas decorations and the characters in their Christmas attire look awesome, same with those great window displays :goodvibes Oh, MK, why so beautiful?

I hope your family is kept safe from the weather as well as everyone else. Stay safe!

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Just read on CNN that some homes were damaged by a tornado in Huntsville. Is everybody okay?! Thinking about you and praying for your safety!!

Love, love, love the MK pictures! I was so happy to get to see all the Christmas stuff for myself. It was actually my first time seeing the decorations for any season. We might be going back around the same time next year, so maybe I'll get to see it all for myself again. :)

Jill got one of those bracelets for a gift. Are they called Pandora? She doesn't really wear bracelets, but she might wear it occasionally now that she has found the Disney pieces for it.

Pandora is one. My starter bracelet, just the chain, is from the "Charmed Memories" series at Kay Jeweler's, because it was pretty cheap. I just got some beads a few days ago because there were ones that fit my bracelet being sold in the lobby of my school for three bucks each. My bracelet is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry, I wear it every day!

Your pictures are beautiful! I love the one of the big tree! Is there anything better than the Magic Kingdom at Christmas? :cloud9: Those window displays are so cute too.

Sorry I didn't venture a guess on your picture, but I had no clue. The only thing I could come up with was the strap on a wooden high chair, but I was pretty sure that was wrong! :rotfl:

Stay safe today. I'm thinking of you and praying for your neck of the woods. We are getting it later on. :sad2:

I haven't posted on the DIS in a long time, but just saw the news about Huntsville tornadoes and was moved to post. I hope all is ok!

Love all the holiday pictures of Magic Kingdom! That has to be one of the prettiest sights! :)

Home early because of the threat of stormy weather. Keeping an eye on things, but so far, nothing to report in our area. Saw where Jill's area had some tornados---Hope all is well!

Hope you are safe and sound MeMom, Jill and family!

I loved your MK morning post. Those Disney plaques always make me tear up. What a vision they had! What magic those Disney brothers have brought us! :goodvibes

Also wondering about your safety.

I love that you and Bella got to spend a little MK time alone while Brooklynn was getting up. I'm afraid my family is like Brooklynn, it takes us a little while to get up and be happy.

Brooklynn's first trip report pictures were great.

Hi all - just texted with MeMom. She said "Okay right now. Funnel cloud in west Nashville."

Let's all say a prayer for MeMom, her family & all in the path of these storms.

Thanks for the update! Scary stuff on the news tonight. My thoughts are with everyone in the danger zone!

Hope MeMom, Jill and family are safe! Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers.

MeMom just posted on FB that everyone is ok. Thank goodness with that crazy weather.

We made it through the day just fine. Schools in Huntsville let out early. I was glad to hear that Brooklynn was at Jill's school with her by midday.

Our schools will not close in a case like this, as they/we feel that the kids are safer in the structurally sound buildings with competent adults. Too many of our kids could have possibly been alone or with teenage siblings or in other not ideal situations if school had been called off or let go early. Elementary schools let out just minutes before the bad stuff hit. We got home safely, and the worst part for us personally happened just a few minutes later. When buses arrived at middle schools, they would not dismiss them. Most of them were there until a little after 5.

It seems to have all died down now. We were among the fortunate ones. Thoughts and prayers for those who had loss or damage to people an property throughout the country.

Thanks to all who sent text, DIS, and FB messages of concern for us. You guys are awesome. We hope all of you are safe at home, as well.

I am glad to hear you are well. I thought about you a lot today.

When I heard on the news that many schools were sending kids home, I thought the exact same thing that you said. Around here it would be better for a lot of the kids to stay at school. Many of them live in poorly built homes and have no one there to look after them. I guess sometimes it's hard for me to understand that it isn't like that all over the country. It's a very good thing that those kids were sent home at that high school that was destroyed. I can't imagine how bad that could have been.

It should be getting here very early in the morning, and I am hoping that it will have lost its steam by then. I just can't believe all this is starting again. I thought last year was just a fluke thing, but it seems to be the norm now! Seriously makes me want to invest in a storm shelter.
