Hi everyone,

My family and I will be joining you on the cruise. We would love to participate in the FE event. Our group is myself (Patty), husband David, and our two children: DD (7) and DS (4).

We sailed on the MR cruise earlier this year during the same week. We enjoyed it so much we recently booked the same sailing for 2012 and are looking forward to another fabulous family vacation!

Hi all! After much conversation and back and forth about which cruise to take this February we've finally booked the Wonder! It will be myself, DH, DD (11) and DD(13). It's our 2nd time on the Wonder... the first was a 4 night Bahama cruise that was much too short. This trip is a part of our 15th wedding anniversary celebration. We went on our honeymoon to Cabo so it seems appropriate. Here's hoping that the girls love the Edge so we can have some time to ourselves.

Looking forward to getting to know you all! I'm still undecided on the FE. The girls loved participating but I'm not so sure I want to lug all of our goodies from Michigan. I'll give it some thought!

Thank you. We were on Disney wonder 4 nights before.... but We were not prepared enough that seems like we feel missed out a lot.( not enough time) But We had a lot of fun at time. I am sure that We will have a lot of questions. so we will be more prepared and be able to use our time wisely...
My daughther is 11. she is excited to go to the "edge" but she also feel sad that might be miss out some fun at oceaner Labs. I have been reading that At age of 11. she might be able to go both place. Is this true? We are interesting to joining "FE" New to this. How exaclty we have to do and prepared for this?

Ahh, not new to DCL but new to the boards.

What grade is your daughter in? If she is in Jr High, she'll probably enjoy the Edge. My daughter was 11 last year and loved meeting the other tweens in the Edge and hanging out with them for the week. With a lot of "at sea" days (compared to the 3-4 day cruises), there is a lot more time to explore and relax on the ship.

As far as the FE goes, I'll add you to the list. There are a couple of threads on the main board (they are probably under DCL FAQ) that describe FE. Basically you hang what is called a Fish Extender outside of your door and other Dis Board members deliver small trinkets/gifts throughout the cruise. Let me know if you have trouble finding the threads and I'll link them for you.
