Hi,

Is it still the case that you can only get alcohol in Magic Kingdom at Be Our Guest for dinner?

And, probably a stupid question, but can you take a cool bag with a can of beer into the park?

Are you allowed to take your own food?

Many thanks all!

Only at BOG

No to the beer

Yes to taking your own food

I've definitely witnessed people sneaking drinks into the park in a flask or a water bottle. Not saying you should do that. It's not allowed.

I believe the announcement for the new jungle cruise themed restaurant about to open with also have alcohol (I forget the name).

Absolutely no open or unopened alcohol can be brought into any Disney park - Magic Kingdom or not. No opened alcohol can be brought outside of any Disney park. If you buy a bottle of wine or something at a park, it cannot be sent back to your resort room. You can pick it up at the front of the park or carry it with you.

So Gaston's tavern has no beer?
Just the pork shank Ive been dying to try:-)

Really hoping the BOG is the only alcohol serving restaurant in the MK. There are plenty of other place to enjoy a drink. Walt wanted the MK's dry and there really is no reason to expand the service in the MK.

Epcot and the F and W has already created a problem for non drinking and light drinking guests with other heavy drinkers being disruptive.

I was happy to read Disney is looking to crack down in this problem this year.

I agree! It's one thing to have a drink with dinner but I just don't understand the need to smuggle alcohol into the MK? o_O

Yes! The Skipper Canteen is gonna serve alcohol! Fitting & and I am so excited.

While I hope it is true, at this point the alcohol at Skipper's Cantina is a rumor...no announcement has been made (at least I don't think so).

Agree with jimandami. Disney has released minimal info on this restaurant other than theme. No menu, no drinks, no firm opening date, no whether CS/TS like BOG .... all else is guessing. One thing they are doing is creating a huge rumble and excitement about it.

We did the KTTK tour a couple of weeks ago, and someone asked if Skipper's Canteen would serve alcohol. I know not to trust everything CM's say but our guide said they would not serve alcohol. According to him, it is themed like a bar, but would be a 'dry' bar much like Gaston's Tavern.

Gaston's is home to the LaFeou's Brew, which is non-alcoholic, but you can always pretend, especially if you get it in the collectible mug.

We love alcohol, but the last thing we need are people drinking at Magic Kingdom like they do at World Showcase. No thanks. The only time I've ever had an issue with another person at Disney was some drunk moron at World Showcase. Keep the booze at BOG. I totally get the feeling of needing a drink sometimes to get through a day at MK, but just no.

Thank you. I could not agree more. The WS at night has become a place I don't enjoy as much anymore due to all the drunks. No problem with people drinking but I've seen people vomiting and falling-down drunk.
