Alaska Question Please

Can anyone please remind me when DCL traditionally releases the dates for the Alaska cruises?

Is it the winter/spring of the year before? i.e. Will this winter/spring announce the 2017 schedule? I know its all conjecture, just looking for past data.

Also, if anyone would like to offer cabin recommendations on the Wonder? (assuming she is sailing the 2017 itinerary). Definately looking for a verandah room, so just "Wonder-ing" if there are any hidden gems that I should take a look at.

For Alaskan cruises in 2017, opening day should be end of March, 2016. I booked my 2015 one on March 27, 2014. I am prone to seasickness so I always pick mid deck- mid ship location. Hope this helps! Have fun planning!!

we got off the wonder almost two weeks ago and were in 7086, a port-side 5A verandah. it was a very nice room, considered midship but definitely closer to aft than midship. easy access to laundry (starboard, deck 7 midship, quick service places and pools on deck 9 (not that we used them!), spa (9 or 10, can't recall), kids clubs (deck 5), MDRs (3 & 4), theaters, etc.

there was some sort of minor mechanical banging noise during the first couple nights however, but no one else in my cabin heard it as they were all fast asleep (this was 4 in the morning).

if i had to book again i would try to move a bit forward, in case it was related to engine noise. however, if i couldn't move i would happily stay in 7086 also.
