Alaska on July 19th, 2011 "Where a good tan is hard to find"

Hi All,

I got the increase notice too and I was pleased to see how on top of it the DU folks were to get the info to me ASAP. Of course that additional $16 in our case, does mean that I might decide to forego a Drink of the Day... of course since I don't actually drink this might not be the sacrifice it would appear to be on the surface :-)

I agree that the additional amount is just a mere drop in the bucket compared to the overall cost of the trip but I would have much preferred the message to say that we were getting an additional discount for having booked so early. Ahh, well one can dream...

I think at this point what I shall put out to the Universe is that this will be the ONLY increase in cost for the duration... That would please me to no end :-)

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The DH and I just got back from a weekend trip to Vegas. We had a wonderful and very relaxing time. I even got the DH to play bingo with me (I was in a tournament, I didn't win but someone at our table did - $1500 - pretty sweet), he decided that he enjoyed playing and would be willing to play again...

Little does he know, this is a carefully crafted plan, first bingo in Vegas, then we will try it at the Indian Casino and by the time we get to the cruise I will have him in shape to watch 20 cards at once! Moo Ha Ha Ha (that was an evil laugh by the way :-)

Take care all, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!

Four days until the 400 Day Dance!!!!! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

The pictures of the Dream are awesome!

Did someone mention Bingo???? :cool2::rolleyes1

Hi All,

I hope everyone has had a great week and is looking forward to a nice weekend. I am hoping to get some time behind the lens as there is a new Butterfly pavilion at our local botanical garden and I would love to get some macro shots of them with my snazzy new macro lenses.

Regarding bingo... yes, yes you did indeed hear it mentioned and as we get closer and closer you will probably hear it mentioned again and again. On my first cruise I had high hopes of playing but chickened out when I found out how much it cost. This time I am going to go prepared and dad gum it I am going to play! I am also hoping for good juju where the Who Wants To Be A Mouseketeer game is concerned (they still do that, right?).

I got to play on the last cruise but I got so excited that I tanked at the $80 level (on a Mickey Mouse question no less so I have a reputation to redeem here).

I have also slowed down production on my FE gifts since I don't want to make enough for the entire ship and the way I was going to town that was becoming a real possibility.

Now if I could just sell a 5 or 6 more homes this year (they say ask and you shall receive and I KNOW that is true so I am asking :-) I would be well on my way to being able to pay the balance off for our cruise and also have a sizeable chunk stashed for excursions, goodies from the gift shops and of course bingo cards aplenty.

Tomorrow I get to appear at the Valencia Towne Center in Valencia, California (near Magic Mountain) in my clown character "Ellie" to make balloons for a special event there. It should be fun as all the events that I have done for them in the past have been enjoyable but I must confess that I am not looking forward to the drive. Ahh, well I think I will pop in one of the cd's from the Disney Box set that I got last week and sing my way done the freeway.

Take care all, have a great Friday and a "Wonder"ful weekend!

Hey there mouseketeers! I was thinking it might be fun exchanging Christmas cards before we exercise the Fish Extenders....

What say you all?:confused3

Oh, man!!! I missed the 400 day dance!?!?!?!?!?!:confused3:rolleyes1

Hi All!

Count my group in on the card exchange as well hmm if we knew birthdays we could add b-day cards in too. I'll start... I'm November 14 and my DH is December 16.

I am getting more and more excited now that we are under 400 days. I have started a bin in the garage for the things I will want when the time comes like white boards for the cabin doors (I got a screaming good deal on them at a swap meet last weekend).

By the way I was at the 99 cent store today and saw that they had some really cute pirate items like goodie bags an a treasure map with a toy compass included. I don't know how many little people we willed up with in our FE group so I am holding off on buying those but they sure are cute.

Well, I am going to throw some dinner into the dh and then see if I can entice him into going to a farmer's market & street fair in Upland.

Take care all, help lots of people and have a great Friday, a wonderfulweekend and an awesome Father's day all!

Welcome, Rileygirl!

With only just over a year left, it's time to get serious about planning! I still haven't decided on whether to fly into Seattle or Vancouver. I seem to change my mind weekly on this!

I called Disney last week and had our dining changed from late to early. With 3 sea days, and the 4:30 all aboard in Juneau, it didn't seem that difficult to make it to the earlier seating after all.

I wish Disney would announce its port adventures, but I know it is still going to be a while before they do. I've looked around to see what other cruise lines do, but can't wait to see what Disney will offer!

Happy summer and happy planning to all!:)

We're trying to decide between driving or flying. The problem is, there are too many variables for us with flying. Where to fly from (Fresno, San Jose, LAX, ?) and where to fly to (Seattle, Vancouver). Plus parking, hotel, food....:confused3 I feel a spreadsheet coming on.

Hi All,

We are pretty firmly in the driving to Vancouver camp. Having to go thru the headaches that flying would bring and the additional expense don't really appeal to the DH or me. Also my DH's oldest son and our granddaughter live in the Seattle area so we are planning to roll a visit with them into the trip as well.

Also when we did the math it would be cheaper for us to drive from Claremont, CA (the one in Los Angeles County not the one in San Diego or Northern California :-) either of our cars (DH has a 4-Runner and I have a Prius) than it looks like flying would be.

We are also looking forward to doing a little sightseeing in and around the Vancouver area before we sail. The only thing I am still working on getting a handle on is where to park our car while we are sailing. I have heard tell that there are a couple of lots that specialize in servicing the ports so I need to do a bit more research and then make our reservation.

We have not made any headway or even started giving it the old college try where hotels are concerned. I think I might have to wait a little bit longer before I commit for that.

I will be curious to see how everyone is planning to make the trip.

Take care all, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!

funny we never recieved an increase....maybe because we have not paid in full yet???? or maybe it is by catagory :confused3

spreadsheet is right....I have been over quotes so many times with hotels and such not to mention are we going to still go to Whistler, drive up or take the train up to Whistler....how many days....e for sure wont be driving up....and we will most likely fly into Vancouver. Not so much of a pain to drive from Seattle into Vancouver but driving back after the cruise early in the morning is. But will see.

The total number of days between Friday, June 25th, 2010 and Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 is 389 days.

This is equal to exactly 1 year and 24 days.

This does not include the end date, so it's accurate if you're measuring your age in days, or the total days between the start and end date. But if you want the duration of an event that includes both the starting date and the ending date, then it would actually be 390 days.

The total time span from 2010-06-25 to 2011-07-19 is 9,336 hours.

This is equivalent to 560,160 minutes.

You can also convert 389 days to 33,609,600 seconds.
