ALASKA - August 30th, 2011 - Mickeys Mooseketeers & the last Alaskan Cruisade! New Th

Welcome ImprovGal!

We're taking the train from Portland to Vancouver as well, on Monday before the cruise - we decided to spring for the Business Select tickets, since it's an 8 hr trip total.

We're also booked on the Best of Skagway excursion - my husband is interested in the Red Onion Saloon portion of the trip... :D

We're traveling by train on Monday and in business select too, but picking it up in Seattle. Maybe we'll see ya there!

I'll be sailing with some friends and am looking forward to returning to the Wonder. I took her through the Panama Canal in January, then from LA to Vancouver in April, and now I can't wait to see Alaska!

We wanted to do the Panama Canal so bad it almost hurt when it turned out DD's return to college would have been the 2nd day of the cruise and put us off the list.

If they ever go through again we are on board, ready to reserve !

The others we want pretty bad are Southern Caribbean and South Pacific. Going from Hawaii down through New Guinea, the Midway Islands, Cook Islands, Fiji, Australia and New Zealand would include us as well. :boat:

PJ,

Has there been any decision yet about the GTKW - DIS meet in Nashville ?

Thanks for the welcome!
I'm booked in business from SEA to VAC. It was a good deal for Amtrak Guest Reward points redemption. For PDX to SEA since it's the Coast Starlight I booked a roomette for myself.

Panama Canal was an amazing cruise! I never thought I'd be a cruise person, but I've come to really enjoy the longer cruises for the busy sea days and different entertainment and activities on the ship.

Australia/NZ has been on my cruise wishlist as well. I'm currently booked for January 2013 (nah, I don't plan ahead one bit) for that on Celebrity Solstice since Disney hasn't offered that itinerary.

Mike, we have been fortunate to do all three PC crossings with DCL. 1st 2 we brought the Magic home and then we took the Wonder to her new home:) 2008 crossing was my favorite, but they were all wonderful. I hope you get the chance to experience it:goodvibes

We'll be watching for all new itineraries, DCL is bound to explore new routes and if they bring the Magic or Wonder through the PC we will jump at the chance.

Got my docs today.:thumbsup2

We did a Panama Canal with Carnival when they moved the Pride for LA to Floriday. It was a great cuise. Would love to do it with Disney.

Rick, I'd give your TA a call:headache:

I LOVE the longer cruises. They are so relaxing. If the Wonder wasn't going straight to drydock after our cruise, I would have booked the repositioning also back to LA.

I have updated the FE listing, with a warning note for late comers that they are welcome to participate, but they may not get a gift from everyone. I will also mention this to anyone that asks to join before adding them. They will be listed on the bottom of the FE listing.

When I was booking this cruise I was also looking to book the repo cruise. Then I found out that there was none:sad1:. I am going to love this cruise but I have a feeling it is just going to seem to short.

I love the longer cruises that is why I have two b2b booked one for Oct.-Nov this year and then another for March 2013.

Were you able to find 2013 schedules ? We have been watching to see if DCL is going to offer the Southern Caribbean. We had checked on doing the repo as well when we booked this one hoping for a long ride home, to bad. :sad1:

Once the Fantasy is running the 7 day Caribbean we were thinking they may do some special itineraries with the Magic. The nice thing with the back to back is the ability to keep everything in the room and only have to walk through the terminal. :woohoo: On one of our last outings a couple we sailed with were actually escorted and allowed to reboard almost right away.

Both my B2B are with Carnival. So don't know about Disney's 2013 schedule

PJ ~ thanks for posting about the navigators :thumbsup2

Panama Canal ~ Loved, Loved, Loved it. :lovestruc Mom and Dad took my sister and I on Princess (where they like to cruise, so hoping our cruise will tickle their fancy as they are not :confused3 HUGE Disney fans like my sister and I are). So I am hoping to go again and hoping we can do it on DCL!

Yeah Rick, check with your TA, seems like this would be cutting things close if you haven't gotten them yet.

Yup I am watching for those 2013 dates as well :surfweb:

Hawaii is on my agenda for 2013-----but the Magic doing some longer southern cruises would HAVE to be squeezed in! Booking 2 dummy cruises on board just in case. June 16th/23rd we are doing btb on the Fantasy--now some of my friends would like to add the 16th now but the prices are too high:scared1:

We booked the Fantasy Nov 2nd 2009 and that schedule was released a couple weeks after the rest of the fleet. So sometime October maybe we'll know something:rolleyes1
