I booked a full size SUV at Alamo for a great rate for the end of April. I have been reading a few posts and see that they try and tell you your rate is not right at check in and try and increase it.

Should I forgo my $15 dollar coupon with Alamo and pay in full now to secure the rate for my late April trip? It would also ensure I can get on line check-in.

Am I just worrying for nothing?

I would make sure to print out a copy of your rental confirmation and have it with you when you pick-up and drop off your car. I wouldn't pay in full this far ahead. You might want to keep checking the rates the closer you get to your trip. You probably did pretty good this far out (especially since you are going during Spring Break)--definitely, keep your ressie and keep checking--you never know! You can always check the Prepay rate and see if it is better.

I just booked through Alamo and pre payed and saved an additional 15%. I made sure to look at the cancelation fee and as long as you cancel or modify before 24 hours before the trip its only a $5.00 fee.

If I do pre-pay or online check in, I cannot have an additional driver? Is that what everyone else is finding?

I think I'm just wishfully thinking of a way to avoid a potentially long line on Saturday.

I'm from Canada and it won't let me prepay (with 15% off) as we want to drop off the car at the Swan at the end of the week.
