Alamo drop off: Car Care location vs. Swan if heading to Epcot

I have planned to return our Alamo rental at the Car Care location and then head over to Epcot.
I was just now thinking wouldnt it be better to drop off at the Swan location if we are planning on going directly to Epcot??
Isn't the Swan within walking distance to Epcot? If so, how far then?


If the Swan is not an option. How do we get best from Car Care to Epcot

The Swan is close to Epcot. I'm not sure if you can walk (I think you can since it is very close to the Boardwalk), but there is a boat that will take you to Epcot.

Actually, the Alamo/National rental counter is at the Dolphin. And yes, it is very close to Epcot. I have rented my car from the Dolphin many times. Usually, I just head over to the Dolphin, do the paperwork, and get my keys. Then, I return there, when Epcot closes and hand the keys to the valet, who gets the car for me..then off I go.
It takes less than 10 mins to walk to Epcot's back door, the International Gateway, from the S/D. Or, you can take the boats.

Does anyone know how we can get from MCO to Dolphin so that we can both rent and return our car to the Dolphin and take ME at the end of our vacation? We arrive at MCO 5 days before we check in to YC and we will need a car. We want to take ME back to the airport when we check out of YC but we don't want to drive the car back to the airport in the middle of our vacation and it would be easier to return the car back to Dolphin since we are staying at YC. The cost to rent from MCO and return to Dolphin is $300 more than it would be to rent and return to the same place whether it be MCO or Dolphin. I am perplexed.

Be sure you check all the major car rental companies. Just about all of them have locations on WDW property. You'll find a sticky at the top of this forum with a list of locations.

Or you could take the Mears Shuttle one wat from MCO to the Dolphin and pick up the car.
