I understand the concierge level, and the Jambo and Kidani village, but what's the difference between standard and value (one assumes the savannah view involves animals...)

Value are a few units in Jambo only (Kidani does not have Value) that are smaller than normal DVC rooms. For instance the value 1BR's only sleep 4 because they do not have enough room for the pull out chair that gives the other 1BR's (Standard and Savannah) an occupancy of 5.

To further confuse things the Value rooms may have pool, Savannah or parking lot view (you can try to request a view but no request is guaranteed)

To clarify the Standard views. In Jambo the standard views are all pool views. In Kidani they may be pool views or parking/driveway views.

The Value rooms are the cheapest because they are smaller. They are in Jambo House only and can have a view of the Sunset Savanna, the pool area or the parking lot. Occupancy for Value rooms is 4/4/8 for the studio/1BR/2BR.

The Standard View rooms are more expensive than the Values because they are larger. They are cheaper than Savanna View because they don't have a view of the animals. In Jambo House, Standard View rooms face the pool area, in Kidani Village the view could be pool, garden or parking lot. Occupancy for Standard View rooms is 4/5/9.

The Savanna View rooms are the same size and layout as the Standard View rooms but cost more because they face a savanna and have a view of the animals. Occupancy for Savanna View rooms is 4/5/9.

The Concierge rooms are the same size as the previous two categories but cost more because you get concierge services and have access to the Concierge lounge and you get daily housekeeping and turn down service. Only Jambo House has Concierge rooms. Occupancy for Concierge rooms is 4/5/9.

The Standard View and Savanna View 1BRs and 2BRs in Kidani Village are larger than those in Jambo House and have an additional bathroom.

The Value rooms are all 3 feet shorter then other categories.

If you stay in a Savannah view room in Jambo, and look out, you notice that the 5th floor DVC rooms are the same length as the cash rooms + balcony. (all 5th is DVC) The DVC balconies overhang beyond the length of the Cash room balconies on lower floors.

The Value rooms are the same length as the rest of the cash rooms, thus the smaller size.

We've stayed in a Concierge studio, are the Value studios much smaller?
The bathroom and kitchenette areas are identical. The length difference is in the living/sleeping area so the storage bench that was in your Concierge studio does not fit into the Value studios giving you less storage space as well. We really appreciated that extra storage space when we stayed in a non-Value studio. It was just the two of us but we like to completely unpack and we used up every bit of drawer space because the drawers in the dresser are quite small.

In a 2 bedroom in Jambo then, how many bathrooms are there?

Thanks to every one who replied

We're only there for two nights so it will be OK but any longer and I think I'd go for a standard / savannah.

I don't want to hijack the thread but are the 1 bed values much smaller than a standard / Savannah 1 bed?

I believe all the 2BRs in Jambo are lock-offs so there would be 2 bathrooms (1 for the 1BR and 1 for the studio sections). The Kidani 1BRs will have 2 baths, 2BR will have 3.

The Value 1BRs are about 3 feet shorter than the other 1BRs in Jambo House. The kitchens and bathrooms are identical, the length difference is in the master bedroom and the living room. Because of the smaller space, the Value 1BRs do not have a sleeper chair because there is not enough floor space to open both the sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair so you get a regular chair instead. So the occupancy for a Value 1BR is 4 instead of the 5 that can be accommodated in a non-Value 1BR.

Thanks again Lisa :thumbsup2
