AKL Value Rooms

I have tried to book a VALUE room (Kidani) for next October (2022). Each time I search, I do not get any value room options. I have tried several ways like availability check on home page, book a vacation, etc. Any news on value rooms? Note: I do try at 8 am EST to get a value room to come up on the search. Just curious if there is some reason for not seeing any value rooms.

I usually book a value at 11 months then check at 7 months for other resorts. Since 2013 I have not had an issue getting a value room at Kidani!

There are no value units at Kidani. Only Jambo.

If you have Jambo checked and they are not showing, it is likely they are already booked. You do have to have both Jambo and Kidani checked in the search tool.

They go almost immediately at 8am. There are only 10 lock-off 2BR's in the value category with an additional 8 dedicated studios. That means there are a maximum of 18 studios available and anyone who books a 2BR takes one of those studios out of the pool. Same with the 1BR's...10 available and anyone booking a 2BR removes one from the allotment. They are unicorns and not easy to acquire, even with the 11-month window. Good luck, and keep trying. Also, use the waitlist as people will change their plans and cancel quite frequently.

Value is only at Jambo.

People walk those rooms so keep checking at 8:00 everyday and your dates might open

Keep checking (Jambo) as people will randomly drop the rooms if they find something else they want more. Last week we ere able to pick up 5 nights at a value room at about 5 days after the 7 month mark. Assuming somebody else walked what they wanted at another resort and then dropped the value rooms.

If they aren't there right at 8:00a keep checking for the next hour or so. That's when I have my best luck.

It is likely going to be the hardest room to pick up though......

I have booked a value for 8 years now and never saw this issue. I will keep trying! Usually, if I book a standard, I book or waitlist another resort at 7 months. Just to stay somewhere else. And points are about the same. Thanks for info.

The red flag from your post is that you specified Kidani- as others on this thread mentioned, there aren't any values in Kidani, only Jambo.

I see dates currently available in October for a value studio. Perhaps you aren't looking in the correct spot. Make sure when you pick your dates you have 'Animal Kingdom Villas- Jambo House' selected not 'Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani' and then once you see results if the value rooms aren't listed click 'Not seeing the rooms you want?' and they will be there but booked for all or part of your dates.

Values are hard to get, but they are only at Jambo not Kidani. Make sure you have the right resort when trying to book. Good luck.
