AKL Question

We will be staying at the AKL for 6 nights from March 19-March 25. I know it will be busy but what is the best area to request to stay in?

We stayed on the second floor facing the main savannah-Arusha-. If you can,walk around the resort prior to check in so you have a better idea of what animals are where. Everyone has different preferences,what you don't want though is a view of a tree,fence or rock!!! Have fun!!! We did!!!!

If you like zebra then request a view of the Arusha Savanna as that is the only savanna that zebra are on. We have had fifth floor views of the Arusha twice and a third floor view of the Uzima once. While they were very different that were both great and relaxing. The Uzima had Bongo, Tommies, Waterbuck and Spoonbills along with Kudo, Cattle and of course Gariffe.

Do you want to be close to the pool area and food court? If so then I would just request the Zebra Trail and enjoy the view.

I was wondering the same thing but I have heard 3rd and 4th floor are great views. Missiowa

We just returned from the AKL and had a savannah view on the Zebra Trail overlooking the Uzima savannah. I had requested the Arusha Savannah, but they were unable to honor that request. That being said, we really liked our location (3rd floor, right near the pool/Mara/etc), and with awesome animals! When I checked in I reiterated my request for Zebra trail and asked to be somewhat near the pool. We were very happy with our location.
