We have two rooms in Jambo House reserved - one with a standard view and one with a savanna view. We may have to change the dates on our vacation and in doing so, Jambo House is not available for our two rooms but Kidani Village is. Can you tell me which you prefer and/or the pros/cons of each?

Thank you,

Carrie

Jambo has both TS & CS whereas Kidani only has TS. Depending on where your rooms are you could be a hefty walk from the lobby, drink station (Kidani has a very small "shop" that has a soda machine, hot water for cocoa, and some fridge items along with some souvies), and bus station. Kidani has covered parking available if you are driving, which we really liked. Depending on your view you might be able to see some of the "real world" because there is a Super Target west of the property. It is really only noticable at night when you can see some of the red glow from the sign and then only if you are really looking for it. The pool/wet play area is, imho, better at Kidani. I can't comment on the playground at Kidani because we didn't check it out on our last trip but my kids have always enjoyed the playground at Jambo. I can't comment on how the buses differ between the two because we always use our car.

HTH.

This was a view from our one bedroom standard view. **Sorry the pictures are so big, I can't seem to resize them on my work computer - it doesn't play nicely with Photobucket.

And another view from the balcony looking right towards the lobby/pool area. You can see a little of the covered walk for the bus towards the right of the picture.

My wife and i stayed at akl last November and i have to say i liked the jambo house better we went exploring over a kadani and it seemed a little bland i guess it was all of the construction going on at the time but i just liked the atmosphere at jambo better and the restaurants are better i feel as well. but again this is my opinion. but no matter what i think you will have a great time let us know what you choose.

If you are in a one or two bedroom at Kidani, you have an extra bathroom.

We stayed at Kidani in February, so I can only comment on that one, but I will say our experience with the buses were that sometimes, on busy mornings if we were getting out at like 8 or so, the park busses filled up quickly and some people at Jambo were left standing at the stop for the next bus. The park buses stop at Kidani first, and Jambo second. I loved the one bedroom at Kidani, but again I have nothing to compare it to, I had only stayed at Coronado Springs before and that was in 99. I would stay at Kidani again in a heart beat, even if we had a parking lot view, I loved staying there.

LilgMom, I think we had the same room LOL...that look almost identical to our view from our room in february. Well, except I think you are higher up on the floor, ours was the first floor.
