AK Parade

We are going to be in WDW only 5 days and we were planning to do Animal Kingdom in just one morning. But do you think it's worth it to stick around AK until the afternoon parade?

I had doubts about this parade BEFORE I saw it. For me, it was absolutely fabulous! It is very entertaining, colorful, creative, and all that other good stuff. If your main focus for the 5 days is the parks, that will be plenty of time to take a little extra time at AK. I get the impression that a lot of people choose to skip AK when they encounter a time crunch. The park is not packed with thrill rides, but it is a great park. Choose a day mid-way in your trip, a day when you need a break from some of the high energy, thrill-type attractions. This is a place my family is able take a deep breathe and regroup. You can stroll at a more leisurely pace and enjoy the shows, animals and flowers/plants in your own time frame. There's not so much waiting in line at this park.

It is our favorite parade at any park. Perhaps do a late lunch at Rainforest Cafe and then catch then parade.

This is also our favorite park. We love the slower pace exploring and finding and looking at all of the landscaping and the shows at AK are the best in all of the parks. WE also like the parade. It is bright, cheerful, festive, noisey,and fun. When we have the GK's with us they are dancing to all of the music and activity with the parade.

It is a really neat parkin all areas.

I was personally most into the AK parade...I was stompin' my feet and felt like a little kid...the music is great!!! I wanted to be sure to catch all the parades last week and this was my favorite!

Thanks everyone! Sounds like AK is a little more interesting than some of the guide books make it out to be! I'll adjust our plans so we can spend more time there!!
