Airmiles Armchair Chatter

:offtopic:

Looking for hotel recommendations for hotels for Disneyland. It will be 3 adults and one child. (Turning 6 ☺️) We are ok with sharing a room or hotel with conjoined rooms as well.

I am hoping for close enough to to not to have to take transportation to get there.

This is a whole new trip to plan :dogdance:
Hi there! I have only ever stayed at the hotels on Harbour that are walking distance. Last trip was in 2023 when we stayed at the Grand Legacy because I got an excellent room offer. Room was basic but comfortable, pool area is terrific and staff was helpful. Previously I have stayed at the Tropicana (several times) and the Best Western Park Place. Both are superior in terms of location - at the end of a long day you really appreciate how close they are! I found the beds equally comfortable at all locations. Pool area is better at Grand Legacy and Tropicana. If I was booking today I’d stay at any of the three but if cost was equal I would pick the Tropicana. Hope that’s helps.

Thank you for all the suggestions!!!! I will look into all of them. Dh knows he will be spending $$$ for this trip - so The Disneyland hotel might be in the contention. It is for gd's birthday present. So she can visit Disney close to her birthday. Son-in-law has zero desire to come along - so it won't be over her actual birthday - but will be around that date (next Jan)

I could plan a visit DW in 15 minutes - but DL is a whole new learning curve! But I'm up for learning that one ::yes::. Lots of YouTube watching and reading on the DL forum here.

Porter peeps, do they have food items for sale on the flights? Just wondering if I need to pick something up before we board or if I will be able to get something onboard. Don't want DH getting hangry.

Yes they do and we've found everything they've had to be quite tasty! They give out some decent snacks as well, and everything you want to drink (including beer and wine) is included with every level of fare as well. We've sat in the reserve section a couple of time which is how I know about the food - but you can buy exactly the same things. I'll dig out some pictures to plunk down!

They do sell meals and have snacks, keep in mind everything is cold. They don't have the ability to heat meals on their planes. Reserve includes a meal and it was pretty good, though my son didn't like anything of course.

They do sell out of options too though, and don’t have a lot of variety, especially if you have allergies or food restrictions. Next time I plan to bring something on with us.

Enjoy! We leave a week from tomorrow. Warm weather can’t come soon enough.

I just got my 470 missing miles from the pizza/20X weekend. Overall it was a simple process. I just took photos and emailed them. The only thing that took a bit of work was locating my MC statement.

Now if someone would please take me to a warm place….
I don’t think DD is going to get any discounted dates for me to come visit again and of course now all I want is to be somewhere sunny.

Good for you going computer free. We should all do that from time to time. You're giving me ideas.:badpc:
Go to Cuba. LOL…even places that have wifi the service is so poor that you often can’t connect. When you can connect the gov blocks a lot of sites. If you can get into your email you are doing well.

Cuba...ugh. One and done in 2003 lol
Cuba is a great place but you have to be very careful about where you go. There are huge differences between the regions and huge differences between different chains. The chains each have different agreements with the gov and it plays a big part.
