I have to stop watching TSC when they have Heys products on. I’ve bought three sets of luggage as well as packing cubes and a carry-on backpack type bag that goes over the luggage handle. Every time I watch, I see something I ‘need’. It’s getting expensive, lol.Heys is a Canadian suitcase brand, I've purchased them from TSC, but as a set not just a single piece so I'm not sure what size they sell the individual ones in.
And I think Air Canada would be Canadian? But maybe not. Who knows. It fits within those inches though https://www.canadaluggagedepot.ca/p...-carry-on-luggage?_pos=3&_fid=de79ed0f5&_ss=c
Swiss Gear is a good brand. I was going to tell you to be super careful about the size. In recent months all carriers have been pretty strict about it. Coming home from our cruise we had to put our bags in the sizer box 3 times….and it wasn’t just us. My bags are under size by approx 4 inches so it’s obvious they are ok. They will also hassle people about belt bags. They actually try to make that count as a personal item.Ok
I had to go with what I could,, which was a small carry on Swiss Gear from Amazon. ca
I know it's not Canadian made (China) but I had a Am azon x-mas gift card to use up.

Yep I believe I will be ok now,,
This is the one I got
A big pull for me with the packing cubes is that I can have a color for my clothes and another for hubby. That quickly tells me what is where. Also, with the packing cubes, I never have to unpack them. I zip them open and flip the top underneath and slip them into the drawers. My clothes never have to touch anything else. I can take them to the laundry room with me and put the clothes right back into them and do the zip up. I even have a black set that I fold my dirty clothes into and when I get home, it's all tossed into the washer.Okay, so hear me out on this.
I tried packing cubes and absolutely hated them but when my husband and I recently went to Sweden, I decided to try vacuum bags and let me tell you, those things are the bomb! I bought a set on AmazonCanada that included a small vacuum, I did have to bring a plug converter since the vacuum was for a North American socket but that was already on my packing list. The only thing I did not love was that the smallest bag in the set just barely fit into our medium cases and I really wanted some that would fit our carry-on bags for our next Disney trip. After we got home I did find another set that included small and extra small bags as well as a vacuum that charges via USB.
I hoped that the bags would work well and I was amazed that they were even better than I imagined!
I am not a fan of packing cubes. I can get way more in my luggage by rolling. DD uses the cubes so we have had a trip that she packed one way and then coming home I packed my way. We share a bag so it was a good experiment. My packing got all the same things in the bag with room to spare. Her way filled the bag. I find the cubes leave empty spaces in between and around the outside. Rolling, I start filling in the corner and go out from there.
Since she loves her cubes I got her a set of the zipper compression ones when she was packing to go on the ship. You have to pack a little differently in them but in the end she didn’t feel like they gained much space for her. She also had a set of the vacuum compression ones and she said her things were so wrinkled she had to launder everything. The problem with compressing things is that it’s very easy to make the bag overweight.
I will say though that my one carry on is a hard shell which I generally don’t like but the sides are not equal. The smaller side has a zippered flap and essentially is like a packing cube. I can get a ton of clothes in that side by rolling and packing like I normally do. Then the larger side is open for all the other odds and ends.
