Air Tran and e-tickets

I purchased tickets through Travelocity on an Air Tran flight. The tickets are e-tickets so I am aware that I will not recieve any "hard' documents until I check in. My question is this. Travelocity gave me a Trip ID#, and says my e-tickets are confirmed, but I don't have a ticket number from Air Tran. I have never traveled with my family before and I just want to be sure everything is set and I don't get to the airport and have issues. Air Tran has online check in, but says I need a confirmation number to use it. I don't believe I have one of those, but maybe that's my Trip ID...see I just don't know!! I am not leaving for 40 days, but am a little concerned that I'm not doing something right. Can anyone help? Thanks!!

When you are within 24 hours of your departure flight, you can do online check-in through Airtran's website. You can then select your seats, etc., and print out your boarding passes. The Travelocity reservation should have your reservation locator number for your check-in.

Is the trip ID a 6 digit confirmation? It can be a combination of numbers and letters.

Try to go to Airtran.com and click on my itineraries. It will ask for your confirmation number... put in the trip id number... you will know if you have the confirmation number or not right there...

It's a 12 digit number..numbers only. And I can't find a "my itineraries" tab at AirTran.com. I'm still trying to figure this out...thank you all for your help!
