So when I last left you …. We were a mere 24 minutes away right…

And then I left you alone here… for like… 3 weeks…


I am soooo sorry!!! Please forgive me!!!

So as a thank you for your patience I am going to do my best to get the first full day done in the next 3 days … just cuz I love you guys!!!

My next post will be our next chapter.... just waiting for a video to load... if I knew how to cut out the beginning and end I would... you'll understand why ... cranky driving DH lol

We have arrived baby!!!!​

We made our way down I-4 for a few miles then hopped on the exit towards Pop..

Osceola parkway if I recall the name right…

And this happened…




Turned on Victory Way

Then turned into the drive for Pop… we are here baby!!!

We went thru the guard station and parked the car in the visitor area

We unloaded the children, I grabbed my “planner bag” and we made our way into the front desk to check in.

As we walked in I saw Janet (one of the Fockers) but she appeared to be on her way to the busses with her family so I didn’t call any attention to myself lol

Sadly for us there was a bit of a line, not a big one, but it was moving soooo slow!

After about 10 to 15 minutes we were waived up and I got us all checked in, they had us in the 70’s area, not anywhere near the bottom floor so I asked for us to get a preferred room (since we’d paid for it) in the 60’s area facing the pool preferably, so if our oldest was swimming alone we could see him from the room.

After going to the “back” and typing a bunch, as we have all seen them do, they said they had a room in the 60’s… facing the pool… but it wasn’t ready… we weren’t shocked.

We then decided to get our .. .breakfast… from the food court and purchase our refillable mug. We got 3 meals and shared between all of us, as we would do a lot… Mini and Ry don’t really eat much unless they feel like it so we didn’t want to be wasting food.

After we ate we made our customary… Wal-Mart run…

We picked up the stuff we knew we needed, fully anticipating that we would likely be back in a matter of days.

Par our usual… we never get enough, and DH requires a beer run about ever 3 days .. .no way in heck I am payin WDW prices for that lol …. Not that he drinks a ton, but the fridge only holds so much lol.

By the time we were done at Wal-Mart it was about 1:30 pm so I called and our room WAS ready … yeah baby!!

We made our way back to Pop, no troubles making it back. It was nearing 2pm so I was relieved, I had a half hour before the Petals meet with the Fockers and FGers

But Alas…

As we walked past the petals area (back side, not thru the area) I saw my Canadian Hand twin sitting there with who I recognized as Blue River and her family… noooo they were too early… so I carefully made my way past em as I wanted to get cleaned up a bit before they saw me lol.

Plus… we had a gazillion bags and stuff, that we were carrying ourselves…

But we did it…

In 1 trip baby!

Yes… cuz we are THAT cool j/k lol

So we got up to our 3rd floor room and saw we were the last room, nearest to the elevators, facing the pool…. RIGHT BEHIND A HUGE FLOWER… that blocked the view of the window to the pool … go figure! We laughed and decided at least we were facing it and could see fine if we looked from door so … what eva!

I changed into my purple pants (representin for my FG pals) and one of my color removal Mickey tops … Dressed Mini in her Bambi Dress I’d made… (She was representin too baby, but you won’t see that dress in this chapter… sorry)

The boys wanted to hang back and rest, nap, whatever… so Mini and I went on down to meet my friends I had been waiting for over a year to meet in some cases… Lessa.. most of all… sorry everyone else (I love you all too… very much so, especially now that I know you in person)… but she was who I was the very very most excited to meet… we’d connected a lot over the past year and a half before the meet so I was extremely excited to meet her and her family (and I had a present for her) , which I really hope she’d like. I tucked it in my bag, threw in some calling cards to give everyone … and Mini and I made our way on out…

I walked quietly over… deciding I’d walk up right behind her… Lessa… and give her a hug …

Blue saw me coming so I gave her the (shhh) sign and she graciously did… thanks Blue

Blue’s 2 daughters and Hubby were there and hangin out until all of our gabbing just became too much for her DH so he went to explore the shop if I recall and her DD soon followed as more showed… I must say… Blue was just as wonderful as I’d expected, shyish sweet lady.

I didn’t have to introduce myself … thankfully…. So I introduced Mini and told them that my guys were upstairs resting… being shy is more like it

Shortly after I arrived Kat Garcia showed up… with a special surprise…. Her hubby KC… who we had no clue would be there…. I gave/got big hugs from both of them and told him it was awesome he could join us as we thought he was going to be somewhere else. Kat was ever the wonderful person she is online, not that I was shocked. And KC… too cool of a guy I tell ya! I waited in line at Petals with him at one point because mini wanted water and we just had some idle chatter as if we’d known each other for a while, what did we say … no clue.

Now before I go on i have to add another shout out to my girl Lessa... that girl is as great at telling stories in person as she is on here... I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a writer in her spare time one of these years I thought she was just as fantastic in person as she was online, if not even more... Girl.. You Rock! I didn't get to meet the "infamous" brothers as 1 was sick and the other was to shy to come out without his brother ... lol... go figure... but I did get to meet her Mom... who is FABULOUS! She gave me like 3 hugs before I left and Lessa even introduced me to her mom... as... her hand twin Tanya She seemed to know me just a tid which was pretty cool... Tell her Hey for me Lessa

We were still waiting for a lot of the Fockers and 1 more FGer.. Cheryl… One at a time more arrived, I recall Mel showing for a minute but she had to leave to freshen up and came back a while later, we didn’t really get to chat other than saying hello… but that’s ok, there were a bunch of folks. I can’t remember all the ID’s for folks that were there, I do know there was 1 of us that gave me a Fockerfest bracelet that if I recall was going swimming with her family before or after the meet… that I got to see again at another meet a few days later and a few days after that at DHS… she was awesome, we had hoped we’d see each other at the pool and hang out later in the trip sadly.. that never happened… (if you are reading this, say hello, it was wonderful meeting you!)

During all of this … Mini just played…. Asked for water…. And eventually asked to go to the room with the boys… so DH came down real quick, met those that were there…. And whisked my pretty little princess away from the meet.

Pardon the interruption… … I didn’t have my camera at this point and we all posed for a pic…. Lessa… I know you do… can you please post it so I can save … and tell me who’s who… that u remember hehe… you have a better (younger) memory than I. ... TIA

All of the ladies I met this day were really wonderful… I gave out my calling cards before Mini and I left (around 4) so that we could head off to dinner…

I probably haven't told most of you WHY i have been away for so long....

I have been embroiled in a major scale move IMO of my old website to it's new location... As you know from my DIS ID ... I am a BIGTIME 90210 fan and with the new show ... which I think is FABULOUS... I decided to revive my website that I had for the original (while it was on and minor updates after it ended) ... along with creating a section for the new show... I have been moving my original site which was hosted by angelfire to my OWN website with the help of my older brother, internet mentor. The way things are done is somewhat easier now that I know what I am doing but when I first started the move it was really time consuming. It is not quite up to where i want it but it's getting there...

I just wanted to explain "where" i have been ... as you all have prob seen from your own TR I am slowly catching up... but surely I will be before too much longer

An evening with the coolest Chef in the WORLD!​

So we had finished our meet… what a fun meet it was… Went up to the room… I changed “again” and then we made out way out to our mini-van … hungry…

It’s dinner time!!

A dinner we’d been looking soo forward to for many months now!

DINNER WITH MICKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOT WOOOOOT!!!

This chapter will be “short” on words…. But “tall” on pictures…

We parked at the Contemporary…. Someone needed a “pit stop” so the rest of us sat in the lobby and I took a cute shot of the kids.. .relaxing in style

After the “pit stop” we took the escalator up to Chef Mickey’s… whatever floor it is on hehe

There was a HUGE line for check-in

I kid u not when I say HUUUUGE!! I should have taken a picture… but…. I didn’t

After only a 5 or so minute wait we were checked in, given a buzzer, and escorted to the “plate”

For those who don’t know what the “plate” is… it’s the photo op for this character meal… I am not a fan of it and we don’t prefer to do those… don’t like the high pressure sales guy that comes around later hehe…

I told the CM that was running that line and they told me for us to go ahead and wait in the waiting area…. Awesome

The kids were completely enthralled in the Donald movie on the TV

After about a 15 minute wait we were escorted to our table… almost instantly we were visited by this guy

Then… This one

And THIS ONE!!!

And this lil rascal

We had few short minutes between character visits so we were very quick getting plates and returning…. The eldest of our children… was having a blast… talk about a garbage can… that boy downed at least 5 plates of food… before desert! Then another 3 plates of desert!

And didn’t get sick after!!!

Our last visitor was our favorite… the cutest lil lady in all of Disney!

After all that fun we rolled out of Chef Mickey’s… happy as clams!

I asked DH if we could do one of my favorite things before going back to the hotel… he agreed….

Time for the…

Monorail tour…

Now if you didn’t read my report last year you may not be familiar with this “ride” here’s how it goes… we hop on the monorail … wherever we are at… in this case… The Contemporary. We ride it to the TTC and hop on the Epcot Monorail…. Do the full Epcot monorail loop…. Which gives us a great view of Epcot and actually takes you thru the park .. without a ticket… but no rides… sorry folks…. Then Hop of that Monorail at the TTC… hop back on the Resort monorail and take it back to the hotel you started at…

There u have it…. The Monorail tour….

Ok… I lied… I took this pic …. The DVC Contemporary tower… during construction…. Looks awesome

After all that…. We made our way back to the hotel…. Relaxed in the room… some of us swam for a bit… not me and Ry… lets just say that hehe… the others returned and everyone but DH went to bed…

He would be doing a repeat of last year…. Stay up really late…. (midnight ish usually) and then struggle in the AM … hehe…
