Registration for Preview: March 24 Passholder Preview: May 13-22 General Public: May 27
If TSL opens around the same time, I would expect a similar schedule. I've already put reminders on my calendar for most of March to keep checking for the Preview because by the time the emails go out, slots are almost guaranteed to be long gone.
Do e-mails go out days late, or do they really fill up that fast even without any sort of notification? If you have to happen to check at the exact right minute I'm not even going to bother.

I have heard of people receiving emails late. I'm not sure how fast they actually fill, but late arriving emails seem to be a common complaint with Disney.

It's moving along, but it still seems hard to believe it's complete in just 4 months.(memorial day) I mean, certainly not impossible, but the QS place doesn't look anywhere near ready. (Though i admit it looks better than volcano bay did this time last year.)

Which really isn't relevant to this discussion since most fast food restaurants are a design that has been built dozens if not hundreds of time. The average fast food restaurant also doesn't have the level of artistic detail that this will have and isn't being build as part of a larger project.

Most fast food restaurants also don’t have the incentive to open as fast as possible, or the Disney money to make sure it does happen. It’s certainly not an unreasonable timeline.
