If I had made it onto the panel the training trip would have ended the day before my 10th anniversary trip. So knowing that I'll be here then anyhow makes it a bit less painful too.

Just got home after working at kid's school since 7am for our annual fall book fair and carnival and WOW!!! what a great surprise after an exhausting day. I am on to round three! Congrats to everyone else that has advanced. I really hope to be meeting all of you very soon.

I've been lurking on this thread for A LONG TIME!!! I am VERY superstitious and was afraid I'd jinx myself. I made it to round 2 but not round 3.....very bummed out. I only told 3 close friends and DM and DH, all of whom are surprised I didn't move on. I've spent the last couple weeks thinking of the possibilities, as have many of you. Just this week, a family in our neighborhood (chosen for a "Make a Wish" trip), has asked for my planning help as well as another school Mom. I have to think that there's really no way for the panel to get an accurate picture of the candidates in 100 words or less questions. There's so much more I wanted to/or could have said! Anyway, just wanted to offer my sincere congrats to all those moving on...........

One thing DH said tonight.....Why didn't they send the "no thanks" emails along with the "you're moving on" emails? Seems a little backwards, don't you think? I mean, how hard would that have been? All of us who have been waiting, refreshing emails every 10 minutes for 2 weeks, carrying around miniature Tinkerbells, and wearing Disney clothes would like some closure at least at the same time the round 3-ers are moving on!!! Thoughts?

Welcome to the "waiting room"

I think I understand why there have not been "consolation emails" sent yet for those who did not make it past round 2. I really and truly think that Disney did not finish making their decision until late yesterday, or even possibly earlier today. According to Laura they were reading applications all day yesterday. Logistically, it was important that those who made it to the next round were contacted ASAP as interviews need to be set up this weekend so they could begin next week. While I could be wrong, I think this is the likely reason their's was the priority.

While I too would have loved to get an email today saying "sorry you didn't make it" (not as much as I would have preferred to receive one saying I was moving on mind you), I totally understand. My refresh button probably needed a workout anyway

I am sure we will be getting our email and invite to the MMC in the next day or two.

I think all of us who made it to Round 2 should be very proud of ourselves!! Plus, there is always next year!!

I think it's also important that they contact all the "yays" before the "nays" because if for some reason something happens, and one of those "yays" drops out for whatever reason, then they can pull someone back in from the "nays" to fill that newly vacated spot without having already told them no . . .

It's both the beauty and agony of a forum like this. . . all those without a response "know" that the liklehood of their being chosen is slim . . .but never without hope before you actually hear no!

You have every right to be disappointed, but moving on to the 2nd round itself is HUGE so you should be very PROUD...you were a needle that was noticed in a haystack! There were tens of thousands (myself included) that did not make it that far.
