Thanks, but it is really facebook that makes the button look. All flair seems have this button look. It takes an image and makes it look like that, somehow. I can't take the credit for making it look shiny and round!

So far, the only Mickey Moms Club members are the folks who applied last year for the 2008 Panel.

The good news: Disney has explicitly stated that everyone who applies this year (for the 2009 Moms Panel) also can become a member of the Club.

From the August issue of the Walt Disney World Mickey Moms Club Newsletter:

"And – if you know of other moms who want to join the Mickey Moms Club, this is their chance too. Everyone who submits an application for the 2009 Walt Disney World Moms panel will be invited to join the Mickey Moms Club. Good luck, Mickey Moms!"

So, it's not a question of "if" but more a question of "when"...

Mmmmm.... Comfort food!! (I'm thinking that steamy, hot mac-n-cheese trumps a bit of trail mix any day!)

Ya know: Once things slow down again -- and we're left to wait and wait for word from Disney -- we should consider posting our favorite comfort food recipes to pass the time. (It's a thought anyway -- especially since it's almost Fall and time for warm, feel-good food!)

Well, I think things have slowed down a bit...in fact, I think things have come to a screeching halt! Might be a good time to take on the 'comfort food' subject!

My comfort foods (no real recipes needed!):

- Grilled Cheese
- Tomato Soup with Ritz crackers (crush 'em up and let 'em soak)
- Mac and Cheese
- Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches

Of course not all at once...and of course all comfort food is better when served by someone else (like Mom or DH).


Hopefully this topic will get our mind off of:

- I wonder how many apps were received?
- I wonder how many have been read?
- I wonder how many are in the YES pile...and how many are in the NO pile?
- I wonder if they read my app yet?
- I wonder what pile I'm in...or will end up in!

I keep checking the official site to see if it has closed yet or not...I am pretty surprised that they haven't reached their limit yet. I know last year they accepted less applications but it seemed to still close much faster! Good luck to everyone....only a few more days until they hopefully start reviewing what they received.

I read on Leanns blog that she was reading more applications. I think they are reading them as they are entered.

Yeah, I really expected the weekend to make a difference, as Bret suggested.

(I believe it took nine days to reach capacity last year, so I guess we're still within the same window -- but barely... )
