Hey, put the popcorn down and give us your trip report!!

:lmao:

I have been traveling and working long hours this whole week. Haven't downloaded any photos yet. Hope to get to it this weekend. Hope you'll forgive me this time!:goodvibes

Well I am out of the best guess game.

I voted for hearing something about round 2 today.

Who is next in line?

-o

That would have been great to hear something back today....it's just getting more stressful each day as I know that they will be sending the second round notifications out soon. I guess for now, I'll just keep waiting...:rolleyes1

OK - I have finally uploaded pictures from the Race. Here they are:

Unfortunately I haven't yet been able to download the pictures I have from the camera I took with me to the race. I didn't get a lot, but I do have some in the parking lot in the warm up to the race and a few afterwards.

Here are the shots that were taken of us by Action Sports International.

They are quite comical! Of course my teammate looks refreshed and energized in each shot and I look more and more discheveled and exhausted as the race goes on - LOL!

BTW - although it looks like I was sweating buckets during the race, that was just my "kind" teammate pouring water over me to cool me down at every water stop - LOL!

We had an absolute blast at the event. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering it for next year!:)

Unfortunately, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I regretfully did not get a picture of any of the Panelists or fellow thread members. My claim to fame though is that I did meet Bret in the bag check line!:goodvibes

Thanks for sharing your pics with us! So glad you had a blast. Maybe this will become an annual event for future Moms panelists. (I'll cross that commitment if and when I ever get to that bridge! :rotfl: )

It was dark? Was it really early in the A.M or late at night? Looks like lots of fun though!

The race was at 7pm. There were 12 heats, starting 5 mins apart so the majority of the race was in the dark. Personally I think it only enhanced the event!:)

It was dark while we were running. I do wish it would have been a little brighter so that I could have been distracted more while running. My DH was jamming to his IPod so that left me doing the same. I was hoping we could comment on the park or just look at things a bit more ( I was hoping to spot some hidden mickey's or something of the sort)

I am not sure I would have liked not getting to enjoy what is some of my favorite scenery...lol. The Princess one in March (the 5k at least) starts at 7AM I believe. I wonder if it will be cold...

I did the half marathion waaaayyyyyy back in '03 and we went through EPCOT and MK. It was gorgeous. EPCOT's lights and music were on for our entertainment. One thing I learned about marathons done in winter months is that you all wear warm weather clothing in the corralls and throw them on the side the road (for donation) when you get hot enough. You can't carry it for 13.1 miles- SO I have visions of all these sweatshirts lying all over park benches and the ground(!) in WS at EPCOT!:scared1: It was weird. I pinpoint, every trip, to my DH and kids the bench I left my sweatshirt on(near the Morocco bathrooms)- they LOVE this, lemmee tell ya. It bugged me to throw away a perfectly good sweatshirt (but thankfully I learned this info before leaving home and I brought one I had many of-leukemia and lymphoma soc. sweats). I kept thinking that these poor employees had to pick up 10,000-20,000 sweats off the ground in WS. Okay, so i am sure a smaller percentage wore the sweats, but..

ramblin'...

enjoying your experiences!

Great photos everyone:) Thanks for sharing! I saw a few participants on the bus at AKV..with their "gold medals"!!
Did everyone run, or were there some "power walkers" ??

Loving all the stories and pics the last couple of days. It has been a nice distraction from the WAITING!!!!!

Congrats, Marleen!!!! This is wonderful news!!!

I hope more members of our board get this day brightener as well. Bring them on!!!!

Wow! Congratulations! Now the pressure is really on... I was thinking it would be at least next week before they started notifying people. Now I will be OCD about email, and we all know a watched email box never gets mail!! Good luck all!
