Advance ticket purchase MNSSHP

What does Disney consider advance? I don't want to buy tickets before we get down there, can I buy them at the resort or parks a few days before and still get the lower price?
I'm not concerned about sell-outs, we have three days to choose from.

I'd liek to know that too since we'll be there for 2 MNSSHPs and we don't want to buy tickets yet in case it rains one night and not the other. Also, can you get the DC price if you buy them just a few days in advance? Does buying them at the resort count for the advance purchase price? Even if you buy them that day?

Interesting question. Normal purchases for park admission tickets get the advance price when purchased prior to arriving at WDW. Tickets purchased at the gates, at DTD or at the resorts get the full gate price. I would see no reason for Disney to deviate from their normal ticket pricing policy on this.

For MNSSHP & MVMCP advance purchase is considered any time before the date of the event. I bought tickets for a Sunday MVMCP 2 years ago when we checked in at Boardwalk on Saturday afternoon and got the discount price. Last year I bought them on the day of the party at Boardwalk and paid full price.

Remember, that in past yrs some dates sell out rather quickly. I would guess that they would be every Fri, Sat and Halloween night would be the first to sell out.

When we were there for MNSSHP I had 3 extra tickets. I had no idea how to get rid of them, I was just interested in selling them for what I paid. I went to the front desk of the Poly, that's where we were staying. As soon as I got back to the room a CM called and asked if she could buy them since it sold out before she could buy them.

Disney's website says only "gate price" and "advance purchase price" for MNSSHP tickets, just as it does for their PH's and PHP's. It looks to me like they have tied the specialty tickets into the same niche as the regular ones.

It would be interesting to know what other folks paid by purchasing their MNSSHP tickets at the resort last year and when they bought them in relation to the night they were going.
