Resort Questions/Recommendations

Alright I have some resort questions for you guys! Sorry it will be a hodgepodge of questions about different resorts!

Beach Club Villas

(A) Is a cabana at BCV "worth it?" How early do you have to be down there to get a seat and what is your favorite area to sit in?
(B) I know about the lazy river and waterslide at the pool, is there anything else it has, I hear people talk about it like its its own water park?

Polynesian Island Tower
(A) Which area is best out of the indoor terrace spaces to watch the fireworks? How early should we get there to get the best seat?
(B) How early should we get to LAVA Pool for seats? Are there hot tubs?
(C) Where should we sit on the beach for fireworks viewing and how early?

Riviera
(A) Where should we ask to sit at Topolinos for dinner? Is the food good for dinner, ive heard mixed reviews
(B) Coffee lovers, what are your recommendations?

Vero Beach
(A) Can you see the turtles in September?
(B) What are your favorite activities they offer? (Nearby and at resort?)
(C) Favorite restaurants on and off site?

Do any of these resorts have a pool with a volley ball net?

Anything else you love/recommend/insider tips for these resorts?

Any advice appreciated, TIA 😊
Couple of answers for VB: no volleyball net at the pool…it’s pretty small. Only 2 real places to get a meal onsite: Wind and Waves Grill which is table service, and Wind and Waves Market which is takeout (sandwiches, salads, burgers, and a few dinner specials). Theres also the Green Cabin Room where you can get a limited selection of pastries and specialty coffees for breakfast and appetizers in the late afternoon/evening with cocktails. We had two great meals at the restaurant and really enjoyed it. The two Market meals we had were ok. Didn’t eat offsite (brought some food in with us). We loved doing the trivia nights and also signed up for the bourbon mixology class which was a lot of fun! I would pay to do that one again. They have a 9-hole mini golf which was cute…more fun after a cocktail though 😁

BCV did have a volleyball "net" last time we stayed. It was a line, but it got a lot of use all day from lots of guests, so it was not competitive. In my experience, if you go at opening, you will have no trouble getting regular lounge chairs out in the sun. Go 15 minutes early if you want to be in a specific spot. The same timing applies to Poly's main pool. I have only done one stay there, but I waited at a different gate than the main one and was able to scan in when it opened at Poly.
Helpful, thank you!

Love a good Disney trivia!

Got there an hour early back in April and there was no seating so watched from the lawn area.
Same experience, one of the reasons I do not like the BC at all. It is actually one of my least liked resorts on property (and I know that opinion is definitely in the minority).

Thanks, you have a link you can post? If these 3 resorts are disposable plates/cups only, do they also have anything I can use to heat food in the microwave?
Thanks again!
Go on YouTube and search for Beach Club DVC Studio tour or whatever resort you want to see, there are literally hundreds of videos there. You can heat food on what is provided in the studio. You're not going to be able to do full on cooking, if that is what you need, you might consider a 1BR which will have a fully equipped kitchen, including a full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and range. If you need more paper plates, you can ask housekeeping for extra (you don't get daily housekeeping in a DVC villa/studio if staying on points) or ask at the QS location for a few.

(B) Coffee lovers, what are your recommendations?

We love eating at Topolino’s. The Chicken Sugo Rigatoni is one of my favorites. We like to sit in the bar area without a reservation. If you want to see the fireworks, grab a cocktail and head out onto the terrace. No service out there, just seating and a view.

As for coffee, La Petite Cafe is good. I do love an Iced Caramel Macchiato when the weather is warm.

Thank you I was wondering if there was reserved seating outside
